Syarahan Bi (Technology)
Good " to my dearly fellow friends, respected teachers and honorable emcee and all those who
attended. Thank you to each and every one of you for being here with me today. We are
pleased to be able to welcome you for allocating time for a mere speech I'll be presenting to you
today.
[Origins of Technology]
Stand here I am today to present you a speech entitled "Our Technology and The Future
Upcoming". Technology is all around us, from the smartphones and smartwatches to solar-
powered street lights and all-electric cars. The term technology is derived from the ancient
Greek words “techne” and “logos”, which translates to “art, craft” and “word, speech”
respectively. The term was used for the first time in the 17th century, and it was denoted to
mean “a discussion of the applied arts”. However, with the industrial movement beginning in
the 20th century, the term “technology” was used to represent a range of processes and
techniques, in addition to machinery and tools. Over time, the term was used to associate
scientific progress and breakthroughs in various disciplines.
[Introduction]
Here is the neat part, "What exactly is Technology?" Technology refers to when a concept of
science is used to create something that serves a practical purpose in human life. For example,
the telephone helps two people to talk to each other even when they are not physically
together. So how do we define technology? Technology is born with the accomplishment of
scientific progress and breakthroughs. However, the exact definition of technology varies
according to context such as
Technology can be defined as the application of scientific knowledge to change and manipulate
the human environment.
Next, Technology can also be defined as the branch of knowledge that caters to the creation and
use of technical means and their relationship with society and environment, using engineering,
applied and pure science.
The sum of ways in which social groups provide themselves with material objects of their
civilization.
Technology is a boon for many of us by making our lives easier. There are also pros and cons
from using technology on daily basis.
Saves time
Improves quality of life [humans help and energy are no longer needed to produce a
sophisticated products in a big quantity]
Though technology has changed our lives for the better, there are also many negative
implications.
Causes addiction [in many of teen ages and kids. If we don't limit the usage of technology, it
might causes a big destruction]
Increases pollution
Create a shortage of jobs [most retail uses technology of robots or machine to produce their
products nowadays]
Natural resources get exhausted [makings of tech stuff requires a lot of natural resources
especially when it is widely used by all of us today]
[Future Explanation]
Moving on, what I am about to be highlighting today is, "How and what will our future
technology be?" Lots imagined it will be about flying cars, space travelling and even robots and
bluetooth wide usage. Have you all imagined how cool and incredible will it be with all the flying
cars and sophisticated buildings or products?. However as of 2020, nothing has been made or
announced about any of this. Maybe it will be like that, who knows, but at least until this day
the changes have not been remarkable.
[Ending]
For now apple has it's own technology where you are able to airdrop anything just from your
own devices. Hopefully technology will keep getting better each time and we will be able to
achieve all what we have all imagined before. Anyone could create something which is new,
fresh and remarkable, it could be one of us. Remember "Anything is achievable if you are willing
to put an effort into it". With that, let's all of us hope, dream big and together bring it into our
life. I hope my speech today has given you a motivation to keep going and do your best even at
your worst. Look how our technology has improved each time and provides us a better life, from
walking to riding a bicycle to motorcycle and so on. Till then, I will end my speech here. Thank
you for putting your time listening to me babbling infront up here.
