NOTES :-
1) Normal beam probe of frequency 2 MHz to 5 MHz shall be used. Back wall echo (BWE) in sound area shall be set to 100% of FSH. Defect echo >20% or loss of BWE >20%
is not acceptable.
2) Class : A=CRITICAL, B=MAJOR, C=MINOR
3) After completion of the final inspection, vendor shall submit the QA dossier for entire package to L & T with requisite no. of copies as per contract.
4) Necessary manufacturing standard procedures shall be submitted along with MQP.
5) Manufacturer’s Standard procedure for “ No load run test of agitator in air “ is attached.
6) Impeller balancing is not required for agitators below 100 RPM output speed as per IS-9522 (clause-10.2.4). In our case, output speed of agitator is 67 RPM maximum.
Hence balancing not applicable.
7) Appropriate instruments shall be used wherever applicable.
8) Instruments used for measurement shall have valid calibration certificates with traceability to National Standards.
9) 100% Inspection Reports / Records and Test Certificates shall be part of QA documentation / dossier irrespective of quantum of NPL’s inspection.
10) ‘NPL’ shall be read as NPL/NPL’s Engineer / NPL Authorized representative (Third Party Inspection Agency).
11) Any of NPL/NPL’s Engineer / NPL Authorized representative may witness the inspection stages and review the documents.
1.0 SCOPE:-
This Procedure prescribes the requirements lor the No-load Test Procedure to check that equipment is
running smooth as per the requirements.
Condition-1 : No load test will be carried out for the Impeller diameter up to 5.1 mtrs & with shaft length up
lo 7.0 mtrs below mounting flange to Centre of the impeller.
Condltlon-2 : If the sizes exceeds the limits of Condtion-1 and if there is an intermediate shaft, then,
without intermediate shafts the bottom shaft will be direalv coupled to the top shaft with suitable provision
(if required) and the no load run test will be carried out with the bottom shaft & Impeller within the limit of
the impeller diameter up to 5.1 mtrs & with bottom shaft length up to 7.0 mtrs below mounting flange to
Centre
of the impeller.
• Condition -1 ls applicable for W.O.No. : 20-0T-050 0, C2 (Primary Hydrocyclone feed tonk), or, 02
(Filtrate water Tank), Fl, f2 (Waste water tank), Gl, G2 (Absorber area sump), H (Lime stone area sump),
I (Oewatering area sump), Jl, J2 {Mill recirculation tonk). K, K2 (Additonal waste water tank).
• Condition-2 is applicable for W.O.No.: 20-0T-050 A to A9 (Absorber Agitator Umt 1 &2), Bl, 82 (Lime
stone slurry tank), E (Auxiliary Absorber Tank).
1) Run out of shaft near free end near bottom impeller at the accessible location shall be 1.0 mm/mtr max.
