GENERAL:
The purpose of this bulletin is to explain the differences between the standard (base) models and the release
of the new RM version models. The new models are referred to as the GreenLine models and use an “RM”
designation in the models name. See image below for the new GreenLine logo:
The Differences between regular model and RM model are listed below:
1. Toner type (Regular: Polymerization Toner RF: Pulverization Toner)

Please use a SD Card in which the Engine Firmware for Recycled Model (RM) has been saved,
when replacing BCU board on the RM models.

If the Engine Firmware is not changed,or the wrong toner set is used on the recycled model, the
following error messages will be displayed on the OP Panel:

Toner Cartridge Setting Error
Toner Caridge is not set.:Black
Open the indicated part, then set the cartridge correctly.
[Banner]
The following messages are displayed alternately:
Toner Cartridge(s) are not set correctly.
Black
Please set correctly.
Black
If an original model’s Engine Firmware is wrongly installed in to the recycled model, error messages
will appear on the Operation Panel and an EM visit will be needed.
Set SP5-886-001 (Control of ROM Update) to 1 (Prohibition) beforehand. Then, firmware updates to the
machine will be prohibited.

To indicate the difference between parts for the recycled model and the original model, a green decal has
been attached on the Development Unit and the PCDU (on the side of Development Unit).
