Pre-Requisite: Test Cript and Recording The Transaction
Execute transaction SCC4 SAP R/3 Menu : Tools -> Administration -> Administration -> Client Administration -> Client Maintenance Then carry out the following steps: 1. Choose Display 2. Confirm the warning message Caution: The table is cross client. 3. Select your SAP R/3 client and choose Details. 4. In the Change View Clients: Details screen, activate the following settings: eCATT and CATT allowed. 5. Save. 6. Go back to the SAP Easy Access menu.
Choose the Create Object icon, as shown above, to open the editor for the test script. On the Attributes tab, enter the following information: Field Title Component System Data Container Entry Create user - SU01 BC-SEC TUTORIAL (optional)
Leave the Target System field empty. Its not required in normal scenario.
Switch to editor tab and click on pattern. On the insert Statement window fill in as below
This will start recording and take you to the user create screen and continue the user creation. In our example a userid (ZTEST_USER) is created with Z:TESTROLE. Save the user and hit the back button. This will end the recording and you will we asked to save the recording. Click Yes.
Double click on the relevant field and put some name for the field.
Put field name for other relevant fields. After selection of all the recorded fields control automatically goes to main screen for Test Script creation. Save all the recordings. Note: User Type field selection is mandatory in ECATT recording. Without this field system will throw error.
Goto Configuration tab and put the Test Script name created earlier.
Goto Variant tab and check if all the recorded fields populated correctly.
Open the downloaded text file as Excel and fillup the information as below.
Execute
Goto transaction SECATT. Select the Test Configuration and execute (F8).
Goto Variant tab, check the usage of External Variant box and select the .TXT created earlier.
Click execute. Now you can see all the users in text file are created in the system.
