1) To create an FSA ID, visit studentaid.gov/fsa-id and follow a 6 step process including providing personal identity information, creating a username and password, answering security questions, and verifying your email and phone number. 2) The FSA ID acts as your legal signature and should only be created by the student applying for financial aid; a parent will also need their own FSA ID if the student is a dependent. 3) Issues can be resolved by selecting "Forgot Password" or calling the FSA at their toll-free number.

Create Your FSA ID

Go to: studentaid.gov/fsa-id

6 Steps to create your


FAFSA legal signature
1 In the search bar lookup FSA ID. Begin by creating your
username and password. Make sure you remember
