GUIDELINES FOR OF ONLINE AND FACE-TO-FACE


ACTIVITIES FOR FOUNDATION DAY 2022
Theme:

I. TRADITIONAL POSTER MAKING CONTEST (Online


Competition)
Mechanics:
1. The poster making contest is an individual competition and open to the four (4)
competing teams.
2. Each Department Teams should submit two (2) entries per fusion.
3. The poster must illustrate, interpret, and emphasize the importance of SVCI’s Foundation
Day 2022 theme: ___________________________________.
4. The following materials will be used in the contest:
a. A ¼ illustration board, measuring tools, eraser, cotton, and a Mongol pencil. (to
be provided by the participants)
b. Coloring material: crayons, oil pastel/crayons, markers, ink, mixed media, oil,
acrylic, and watercolor. (to be provided by the participants)
*Use of other materials not specified above is strictly prohibited.
5. The contest proper will take place on June 16, 2022, via Google meet. The code will be
given to the participants 30 minutes before the contest proper.
6. Participants will be given 1 hour and 3o minutes to finish their poster entry and will have
an additional 10 minutes to submit their entries. (Entries will be submitted in JPEG.
Format through the Google drive link provided by the facilitators.)
7. Participant’s name and team/department must be indicated in the subject part of the
Email.
8. The posters will be judged according to the following criteria:
a. Creativity and Presentation 40%
b. Originality 30%
c. Relevance to the theme 30%
9. Finalists will be chosen and will be recognized accordingly. They will be awarded 1 st, 2nd,
3rd, and 4th as the case may be.
The winning posters will automatically become official property of St. Vincent’s College
Incorporated.
Note: The artist will be held accountable to any issues that may arise with regards to the
originality and authenticity of the design.

II. BALAK/SPOKEN POETRY (Online Competition)

Guidelines:
1. The competition is open to all Vincentian enrolled in S.Y. 2021-2022.
2. Each Department teams should submit one (1) Balak/Spoken Poetry entry only. The
representative can either be male or female.
3. The language medium of the contest piece must be in Cebuano or in English.
4. Participants will be given a minimum of three (3) and a maximum of four (4)
minutes to perform including entrance and exit.
5. Any violation of the abovementioned rules is subject for a one (1) point deduction.
6. The entry must be in mp4 format. The official entry will be sent through the email
and goggle drive link provided by the officials. The file should be submitted in the
official Google Drive folder to be given by the SSG Officials on or before June 16,
2022.
7. The Balak/Spoken Poetry will be judged according to the following criteria:

III. MOBILE LEGENDS: BANG BANG ONLINE
TOURNAMENT (F2F Competition)
TOURNAMENT STRUCTURE:
1. Tournament is exclusive to Vincentians enrolled in S.Y. 2021-2022.
2. Qualifying Stage is Single Round Robin or Single Elimination portion per group, top four
(4) teams will advance to the Semi-Finals, which is a Best-of-1 game.
3. Semi-Finals Stage will be Single Elimination (Best-of-1 game), top two (2) teams will
advance to the Finals.
4. Finals will be Best-of-3 games.

PLAYER REQUIREMENTS:
1. Players must be a bona fide student of St. Vincent’s College Incorporated.
2. Each department teams must submit at least two (2) teams representing their team.
3. Players must be available during tournament dates. However, if the player/s didn’t attend
15 minutes during the tournament given or allotted to them, the team itself will be
forfeited. The countdown starts once the opposing team is already complete.

TEAM REQUIREMENTS:
1. A team must consist of the following members:
6 players (5 main players and 1 reserve player)
2. Once nominated/registered regular/reserved players cannot be replaced throughout the
event.
3.
SCHEDULES / TIMING OF MATCHES:
1. The tournament is a Face-to-Face Tournament.
2. Players will be advised of schedule and timing of matches thru announcements in the
event’s social media pages.
3. Only the Tournament Director can alter the schedule and timing of matches.

GENERAL CONDUCT:
1. Players are expected to conduct themselves and compete with the spirit of sportsmanship,
maintaining a friendly and polite demeanor in activities involving other participants and
public in general.
2. As we are in the pandemic, all players are REQUIRED TO WEAR THEIR FACE
MASKS AND OBSERVE PHYSICAL DISTANCING AMONG OTHER PLAYERS
INSIDE THE CAMPUS.
3. The organizer has the right to apply penalties, disqualify and dismiss any registered
player from the tournament, at their discretion, at any stage of the tournament.
4. Cheating doesn’t need to be successful to qualify as a violation. Conspiring to cheat is
already a violation and will lead to an automatic disqualification for all conspirators.
Examples of cheating include, but are not limited to:
a. Account Sharing
b. Piloting
- The said violations are subjects for disqualification.
OTHER DETAILED RULES & TECHNICAL ASPECTS:

All participants will be advised of other rules or technical aspects of tournament prior to start of
competitions.

IV. THAT’S MY GOV 2022! (F2F Competition)
1. The candidate shall be represented by the Department Governors.
2. Each candidate will compete in the following categories:
A. Presentation of Candidates (Production Number):
a) Candidates will present themselves with a production number and
the Department being represented.
b) Candidates shall be in their summer attire.

The candidates need to gain these points:

Poise and Bearing- 30% Fitness- 30% Uniqueness and Style- 40%

B. Talent:
a) Each candidate shall be given a minimum of two (2) minutes and
maximum of three (3) minutes including entrance and exit.
b) Candidates must wear appropriate attire; the organizer has the right
to stop the performance of the candidate if they commit any
violation and is automatically disqualified.
c) Use of props and costumes to enhance the performance shall be
allowed. However, use of pyrotechnics, live animals, explosive
materials, liquid materials and any other materials that may
damage the venue are strictly prohibited.
d) The candidate is allowed to have a maximum of 5 backup
performers or marshals to assist them in their performance.
Backups should be a bona fide student of the department they are
performing for.
e) The performance must not depict lewdness, violence, sex, racism
and damaging or attacking individuals.
f) The candidates shall provide their own music or video in a flash
drive or CD with the label of their department securing another
copy of the same making the organizer not liable for the
malfunction of the provided flash drive or CD. The flash drive or
CD shall be given to Christy Peras on June 15, 2022.

The candidates need to gain these points:

Execution- 50% Originality and Creativity- 30% Audience Impact- 20%

C. Summer Attire (Worn During the Production Number)


a) In the presentation of the candidates during the pageant day,
candidates will be in their SUMMER ATTIRE according to the
theme of the 105th Founding Anniversary of SVCI.
b) Note: No explicit summer attire

The candidates need to gain these points:

Style, Uniqueness, Glam Design and Close to the Theme- 50%


Poise and Bearing- 40%
Audience Impact- 10%

D. School/Departmental Uniform

a) Candidates shall wear their MAJOR/DEPARTMENTAL


Uniform to increase sense of unity, pride and identity between the
Governors and their constituents.

The candidates need to gain these points:

Poise and Bearing- 40% Stage Deportment- 30% Fitness- 30%

After the school uniform, Special Awards will be handed out.

 TMG Vincentian’s Choice Award


- Choice award shall be determined through a Vincentian peso
voting. 1 peso coin is equivalent to 1 vote.
- Based on the above-mentioned statement, candidates will have a
box where the votes “coins” will be counted.

E. In the next round is the Q & A portion and they will be judged based on the
following criteria:
a. Wit- 50%
b. Poise and Personality- 20%

d. Audience Impact- 10%

The decision of the Board of Judges is FINAL and IRREVOCABLE.


V. QUIZ BEE (Online Competition)

1. The coverage of the quiz bee includes General Education Subjects: English, Filipino, Science,
Mathematics, Literature and Social Sciences.
2. Each fusion teams must have at least two (2) groups, consisting of 2 members each group.
3. The group will write their answers at the black part of the illustration board.
4. All groups will answer the same set of questions in writing. Before the question is read, the
group must raise their markers (chalk).
5. There will be three (3) components in the competition namely: Elimination Round, Semi-Final
Round and the Final Round.
6. The elimination round has seven (7) questions worth 2 points, the semi-final round has nine
(9) questions worth 3 points and in the final round has seven (7) questions worth 5 points.
7. In the elimination round, only the top four (4) groups will qualify to the next (semi-final)
round.
8. At the end of semi-final round, only the top two (2) groups will move to the final round.
9. The questions will be read by the quizmaster twice.
10. After the second (2nd) reading, the Quizmaster shall say “go”, only then the groups be
allowed to write their answers. Automatically, the (10) second time-limit will begin with the
word “go” by the Quizmaster.
11. After the time-limit, the whistle is blown by the time-keeper. The groups must stop writing
and must raise their answer boards.
12. The Quizmaster shall read and verify the groups answer.
13. The group who gets the highest number of points is automatically declared the champion or
the runner-up as the case may be.
VI. PROMOTIONAL VIDEO (Online Competition)
Mechanics:

1. The Promotional Video Contest is open to all the bona fide students of the St. Vincent’s
College Incorporated 2021-2022.
2. The theme shall be given on June 14, 2022.
3. Entries should not be published or uploaded in any social media sites before the date of
submission. Failure to do so shall be subject to disqualification.
4. Videos must not violate another person’s rights, including but not limited to
copyright or of which are highly immoral, and in violation of public morals.
5. Participants may use any digital or film-based camera. Participants in promotional video
shall be open to all interested bona fide SVCI student under the same department.
6. Creative effects done with the camera at the time of exposure (e.g. multiple exposures,
flash fill, filtration, etc.) are allowed.
7. Digital retouching on density, contrast adjustments, minor cropping, and
burning, dodging and any major manipulation are allowed.
8. Participants are allowed to add extra elements in their original video. Extra element can
involve a simple workflow that a photographer used to capture that unique look of a
video or they can be a complex post-processing technique that was used to bring out the
mood and textures in video. The extra element has to be outside of the normal
photography.
9. The length of the video is not more than 15 minutes.
10. The entry must be in mp4 format. The official entry will be sent through the email and
goggle drive link provided by the officials. The file should be submitted in the official
Google Drive folder to be given by the SSG Officials on or before June 16, 2022.
11. No name or any mark identifying the photographer shall be included in the video itself.
12. Any violation of the aforementioned rules is subject to a deduction of 5 points in the
overall average score.
The entry will be judge according to these criteria:

VII. VINCENTIAN NEXT TOP MODEL (Online Competition)

Mechanics:

1. The SVCI Next Top Model Contest is open to all the bona fide students of the St.
Vincent’s College Incorporated 2021-2022.
2. The theme shall be given on June 14, 2022.
3. Entries should not be published or uploaded in any social media sites before the date of

VIII. SUMMER FUNanghalian COMPETITION (F2F Competition)


Mechanics:

1. The Summer FUNanghalian competition is a group contest and opens to the four (4)
competing teams.
2. Each Participating Department Teams should have ten (10) official participants
3. The following materials will be used in the contest:
a. A large table that will be provided by the SSG Officers.
b. The teams are allowed to use other materials that will enhance their table
presentation. Provided that it will not harm their fellow participants.
c. An amount of one thousand pesos (1000 Php) will be given to the competing
teams.
4. Competing teams will be given 1 hour to finish their “FUN”ANGHALIAN entry and will
have an additional 5 minutes to present their entries.
5. Team/department’s name must be indicated in the table where it will be visible to the
panel
6. The “FUN”ANGHALIAN entry will be judged according to the following criteria:

a. Creativity and Presentation 40%


b. Uniqueness 20%
c. Relevance to the theme 20%
d. Overall Presentation 20

7. Finalists will be chosen and will be recognized accordingly. They will be awarded 1 st, 2nd,
3rd, and 4th as the case may be.
IX. AMAZING SummeRace (F2F Competition)
Activity Description
S1: Flag Making – Web station (5 participants)
- Flag Making
a. Each group shall be provided with pole as well as the
cloth that will be used as a flag of each team. The flag
will be passed to their team members in the next
station.
- Web Station
a. The players will pass through the spider web maze
Amazing without touching the web.
SummeRace S2: Pingpong balls – sack race (5 participants)
- Pingpong Balls
a. The facilitators will fill the five (5) cups with water
and line them up setting the pingpong ball into the
first one.
b. The goal of this game is to blow the pingpong ball
form one cup to the next.
- Sack Race
a. Done traditionally.
S3: Jolens – ball relay (5 participants)
- Jolens
a. The mechanics of this game will be explained
during the contest proper.
- Ball Relay
a. The mechanics of this game will be demonstrated
on the contest proper
S4: Pinoy Henyo - Yell/Cheer (6 participants)
- Pinoy Henyo
a. The participants will divide themselves into three
(3) pairs.
b. Each pair will identify one guesser and the other one
will be the responder. His/her responds will be
limited to YES, NO, or MAYBE.
c. The participants will be freeze five seconds if they
answer other than YES, NO, or MAYBE.
d. The participants will pick a topic of what are they
going to guess.
- Yell/Cheer Rally
a. Each group will perform their cheer rally minimum
of 2 minutes.
S5: Guess the title of the song - Water balloon (5 participants)
- Guess the Title of the Song
a. Each group will have a participant who will portray
the song that they have picked from the bowl of
choices provided.
b. They have to guess three (3) songs correctly to
proceed to the next station.
- Water Balloon Relay
a. The Facilitators will grease the participants’ hands.
b. The five players will form a straight line with 1-
meter distance to each other.
c. The first player will get a balloon filled with water
from the bucket and pass it to their teammates and
the last member will put the balloon into the
provided empty bucket.
S6: Flour – snake game (5 participants)
- Flour
a. The facilitators will provide a bowl filled with flour.
b. There will be a treasure hidden in the bottom of the
bowl.
c. The participants will use their mouths to retrieve the
treasure from the bowl.
- Snake
a. The mechanics of this game will be demonstrated
during the contest proper.
S7: Minute to Win it (flip the bottle) - Raise your Flag
(5 participants)
- Flip the Bottle
a. The bottle will be filled with ¼ amount of water.
b. The participants will flip the bottle.
c. The goal is to make the bottle stand.
- Raise your Flag
a. The participants will raise their flag with their
provided poles.
b. First team that will raise the flags will be declared
as the winner of the Vincentian SummeRace.

Mechanics:
36 members each group color
REGISTRATION MECHANICS

Each Group will be given Google Drive link where they will input their respective
participants. The links will be distributed on June 10, 2022 @ 1:00 P.M. and will end
June 13, 2022.
