Suppose you’re Jack. Read the dialog and pay attention to the underlined words.
Then answer the questions below.
The receptionist Lynn (L) is helping Jack (J) with reporting.
L: Good morning, may I help you?
J: Good morning. I’m Jack, the assistant line manager. I was told to report here when
I got in.
L: Hi, Jack. Glad to meet you. All right. First, please fill out the form. Don’t forget to
read the information on the last page.

L: This is the staff manual. Please read it carefully.
J: Thank you for reminding.
L: You are welcome. Your access card and staff manual are in this envelope. Take care.

A good suggestion (not for all line of work):


For MEN
✓ a tailored suit (特定正装) in a dark hue(深色调) like navy or
gray, with a pop of color in your shirt or tie.
✓ If suit is not required, choose a tailored dress shirt(白衬衫)
and pants(正装长裤). A classic leather dress shoe(正装皮鞋)

in black or chocolate brown.

For WOMEN
✓ No miniskirts(超短裙) or skin tight dresses(紧身衣服). A
chic(别致的) scarf and bracelets can be added.
✓ A classic pair of pumps (高跟鞋) or simple ballet flat(平底
