The sizing of our patterns is according to the measurements shown in the tables, giving the necessary width and length in cm. These are body
measurements without any additions. As a rule the measurements of most importance for sweaters and cardigans would be the chest (bust); for skirts,
long jackets and coats the hips will also be taken into account. The measurements given in the pattern schematics, on the other hand, allow for ease
and comfortable fit of the garment. Due to the huge variety in fashion styles these figures may vary greatly depending upon the design.
So, for example, the measurements given for a top or tight-fitting, figure-hugging sweater will be quite small, but will be larger for an over-sized fit.
