Materials
• Cascade Yarn's Lana d'Oro, 3 hanks each of #1050 (A) and #1086 (B)
• Size 6 knitting needles or size needed to obtain gauge
• Tow size 6 dpn's

Gauge
In patt, 40 sts and 24 rows = 4". To save time, take time to check gauge.

Note
• At the beginning of each row, knit the first stitch with the indicated color, then bring both
colors of yarn to the front, and cross them over each other before purling the second stitch
with its correct color. This maneuver will close the sides as you work the two colors
together.

Scarf
Using alternating colors, CO 88 sts, making the first stitch with color B.

Row 1: *With both yarns to the back, K1 with A, with both yarns to the front, P1 with A, with
both yarns to the back, K1 with A, with both yarns to the front, P1 with B, with both yarns to the
back, K1 with B, with both yarns to the front, P1 with A, with both yarns to the back, K1 with A,
with both yarns to the front, P1 with B. Repeat from * across.

Row 2: *With both yarns to the back, K1 with B, with both yarns to the front, P1 with A,
with both yarns to the back, K1 with A, with both yarns to the front, P1 with B, with both yarns to
the back, K1 with B, with both yarns to the front, P1 with B, with both yarns to the back, K1 with
A, with both yarns to the front, P1 with B. Repeat from * across.

Row 3: *With both yarns to the back, K1 with A, with both yarns to the front, P1 with A, with
both yarns to the back, K1 with B, with both yarns to the front, P1 with B, with both yarns to the
back, K1 with B, with both yarns to the front, P1 with A, with both yarns to the back, K1 with B,
with both yarns to the front, P1 with B. Repeat from * across.

Row 4: *With both yarns to the back, K1 with B, with both yarns to the front, P1 with A, with
both yarns to the back, K1 with A, with both yarns to the front, P1 with A, with both yarns to the
back, K1 with B, with both yarns to the front, P1 with B, with both yarns to the back, K1 with A,
with both yarns to the front, P1 with A. Repeat from * across.

Repeat Rows 1-4 for patt until scarf measures approx 60" from beg, ending after Row 4 of patt.

To finish scarf: *Slip one st to dpn #1, slip next st to dpn #2. Repeat from * across.

Holding dpn #2 behind dpn #1, work Kitchener stitch with A to graft stitches tog.
