IV REFLECTION

Do you agree that the kind of place where the polygraph examination is done
affects the conduct of the test? Why?

Yes, in order for the respondent to concentrate on the exam and answer the
questions properly, a distraction-free and noise-free environment is necessary when
taking a polygraph test. Polygraph exams are done in a number of settings, including
specifically constructed rooms. The purpose constructed polygraph room, which is
deliberately positioned to minimize disruptions during the test, includes one-way
mirrors for inspection and audio recording capability. It's reasonable to conclude that
the environment has an impact on polygraph testing validity by interacting with both
subject and examiner characteristics.
