While the focus of the Online Kumustahan should be evaluation of the learning process, this
is also an effective means to discuss factors involved in the effectiveness of the teaching process;
such as parent’s cooperation in school activities and their experiences at home over the course of
mentoring their child’s online class or printed modular. When parents/learners clearly understand
modular or online learning expectations, they are better able to assess and improve their
performances.
II. OBJECTIVES:
Principal
Grade 2 Teacher/s
Grade 2 Strawberry Parents/Guardians
Grade 2 Learners
IV. NARRATIVE:
There were four (4) Virtual Kumustahan sessions conducted during the school year 2021-
2022. Below are the dates and was attended by Grade 2- Strawberry parents/guardians and learners.
The program started with a virtual flag ceremony followed by a prayer video presentation. An
opening remark was delivered by our Principal, Mdm. Danah Ann L. Platon. She mentioned some
reminders about parent’s responsibility for the progress of their child such as submission of outputs
per scheduled, distribution of modules/summative tests and allowing the learner to cooperate in
answering the modules. The session proper started on the discussion of DepEd memorandum No. 014
S.2020. This was explained by the Grade 2 – Strawberry Adviser, Mrs. Evelyn V. Del Rosario. This
covered the Learners Attendance Conversion Tools (LACTs) which tackled, the recording of daily
attendance of learners for both online class and modular learning. During the pilot session, the
adviser took initiative to maintain order as done so in a normal class, hence the whole program was
led by the election of officers for the HRPTA, the chosen officials have duties that will uphold the
regulation applied throughout the school year. The Basic Health Nutrition Profile was also tackled.
From the second to fourth quarter, in conjunction with the schools recovery plan including the
Project EVER, Project Pagbasa EBB, and Project ICARE, the session included following through
with students who received remedial reading to look at the progress of each learner.
For this matter, parents are supposedly the one to conduct the activity at home to provide the
necessary information regarding the health issues of their child and up-date their teacher-adviser.
Individual Learning Monitoring Plan, as a summarized record of learner’s performances every week
was discussed among the parents and shared the schedule of activities for the 1 st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th
quarters. Then, there was also a time allotted for an open forum. In the last session during the fourth
quarter, the session’s done during the limited face to face setup which is concluded with a recognition
given to students who achieved a general average of not lower than 90. A closing remark was given
by the grade 2 adviser, Mrs. Evelyn V. Del Rosario.
V. CONCLUSION
Having a regular Online Kumustahan can help create a good partnership between home and
school. This ensures that all school policies and activities will be effectively implemented. Working
together ensures that each one can provide the appropriate and necessary support for the
performances of the learners. Parents can be a common cause and essential partners in our school
endeavors to achieve what is best for all concerned.
VI. RECOMMENDATION
1. Encourage parents/guardians to develop cooperative strategies that can ultimately benefit
every learner.
2. Teachers may also provide suggestions for strategies, updates, and express concern to
support learning at home.
