    Also called "VISUAL AIDS".
    Communicate facts to the readers.
    Play a major role in highlighting and
    clarifying results and data.
    Any image that assists the reader in

    Types of
    Graphic
    Aids
    Tables A table is the
    representation of
    Table 1. data or
    information in
    rows and columns
    Bar Graph
    is a chart that
    plots data using
    rectangular bars or
    columns that
    represent the total
    amount of
    observations in the
    data for that
    category.
    Line Graph A line graph is a
    type of chart used
    to show
    information that
    changes over time.
    Pie Graph
    is a circular
    statistical graphic,
    which is divided
    into slices to
    illustrate numerical
    proportion.
    Pictograph
    refers to the
    Number of red-colored boxes sold by William, a representation of
    shopkeeper, in six days of a week data by making
    use of images.
    Organizational Chart also called
    organigram,
    organogram, or
    organizational
    breakdown structure
    is a diagram that
    shows the structure
    of an organization
    and the relationships
    and relative ranks of
    its parts and
    positions/jobs.
    Gantt Chart A Gantt chart is a
    type of bar chart
    that illustrates a
    project schedule,
    named after its
    inventor, Henry
    Gantt, who
    designed such a
    chart in 1917.
    Diagrams
    is a symbolic
    representation of
    information using
    visualization
    techniques.
    Drawings
    a picture or
    diagram made
    with a pencil, pen,
    or crayon rather
    than paint.
    Maps
    a diagrammatic
    representation of
    an area of land or
    sea showing
    physical features,
    cities, roads, etc.
    Picture/ Photographs
    the most realistic
    and dramatic
    representation of
    physical features.
    Importance of graphic
    aids in technical
    writing
    Enables writers to present technical
    information more clearly and emphatically
    than words alone.
