    The route to workforce analytics will undoubtedly include some setbacks. Successful
    commercial outcomes from the application of analytics will go a long way toward securing the
    backing required to overcome these challenges and will also encourage additional investment.
    This section examines some of the current limitations to the development of workforce
    analytics, as well as common traps that firms who want to expand the use of data in HR
    experience.
    Skills gap: As with all functions, HR will need to improve its ability to handle and analyse
    data.
