ED 313: LEADERSHIP MANAGEMENT FOR SCHOOL DEVELOPMENT
MIDTERM EXAMINATION
1. Cite a true life challenge in your workplace that you have encountered which
unleashed the unique leader in you.
• As a teacher, everyday, leadership challenges are going to come for us. From
all sides, around every four corner of our class room. I’ve encountered
challenges as a leader during our intramurals day at school. As a leader of my
students, I organized and assigned the task of each and everyone of them to be
accomplished in order for us to win the competition. But it is not easy for me to
do that because as we know, every individual has their own behavior, and we
cannot deny the fact that sometimes, misunderstanding happened between my
team. They don’t agree with each others opinion, so as their second mother I
need to sort out everything for our team to have unity. I held a meeting and
fixed the problems between them and told to them that we have only one goal
and that is to win the competition, I also explained to them the importance of
unity, that we cannot reach our goal if don’t we have unity. From that, I realized
that it is not easy to become a leader, to become a leader we need to act, speak
and behave as a role model to our learners.
2. How would you like people to remember you as a leader? Do you have any
regrets as you have traversed the torturous road of leadership?
4. Based on your present position, what are the significant roles can you interface
to the DepEd Vision and Mission? Cite at least three.
• As a teacher, my role that I can interface to the DepEd Vision and Mission are
to facilitate learning and constantly nurture every learner, develop a forward-
looking, technologically enhanced, and motivating learning environment and to
inspire a lifelong love of learning by creating lessons that are exciting,
authentic, engaging, and relevant to the lives of my students.
