ED 313: LEADERSHIP MANAGEMENT FOR SCHOOL DEVELOPMENT
MIDTERM EXAMINATION
1. Cite a true life challenge in your workplace that you have encountered which
unleashed the unique leader in you.

• As a teacher, everyday, leadership challenges are going to come for us. From
all sides, around every four corner of our class room. I’ve encountered
challenges as a leader during our intramurals day at school. As a leader of my
students, I organized and assigned the task of each and everyone of them to be
accomplished in order for us to win the competition. But it is not easy for me to
do that because as we know, every individual has their own behavior, and we
cannot deny the fact that sometimes, misunderstanding happened between my
team. They don’t agree with each others opinion, so as their second mother I
need to sort out everything for our team to have unity. I held a meeting and
fixed the problems between them and told to them that we have only one goal
and that is to win the competition, I also explained to them the importance of
unity, that we cannot reach our goal if don’t we have unity. From that, I realized
that it is not easy to become a leader, to become a leader we need to act, speak
and behave as a role model to our learners.
2. How would you like people to remember you as a leader? Do you have any
regrets as you have traversed the torturous road of leadership?

• A leader unleashes the ability of each person on the team to improve

performance, solve problems and grow their career. So being a leader, I want
my students, parents and stakeholders to remember me as a unique leader. For
example, during parents-teachers meeting, find a way to make the time to listen
to their concerns and provide insights to the situation at hand, appreciate their
hard work for helping the school, encourage them to have an identity and
presence about them that helps them stand out from the crowd. They are the
ones that support you in ways that others don’t so give them also the support
they need. Also, I want my students to develop, enhance and improve their
skills and be motivated. Encourage them to pursue what they want in life, be
humble, and ask them if how are they, listen to their excuses and let them
explain their side, because a true leader are in it for the betterment of a
healthier whole are rarely forgotten.
•I don’t have any regrets as I became a teacher, and a leader to my students.
Because as a teacher, we were able to touch the lives of our students and
became a part of their journey towards their goal, and it is so fulfilling to have
that feeling.
3. Describe a situation that relates to the saying of Mahatma Ghandi when he said
“ Happiness is when you think, what you say and what you do are in harmony”.
•It means that the happiness of your life depends upon the quality of your
thoughts. For example, in choosing the path of your career, you have to
consider what makes you happy, if you are happy sharing your knowledge,
ideas and hobbies, love kids, has passion in teaching then become a teacher.

4. Based on your present position, what are the significant roles can you interface
