CHECKLIST FOR ERECTION/COMMISSIONING OF RECIPROCATING GAS COMPRESSOR PACKAGE

STATUS DESCRIPTION OF ACTIVTY DATE SIGN

Check the foundation as per approved FKP drawing

Placing of compressor package on foundation

Check wire ropes/belts/ D shackles/bowshackles capacity and valid calibration certificate

Check lifting capacity of crane

Ensure belts/wire ropes are not fouling to equipment

Check the size of Jacking bolts and foundation bolts. Ensure jacking bolts are greased and plate is placed underneath (70 X 70 X 10 mm)

Ensure minimum 1" gap between foundation surface & baseframe bottom

Ensure availibilty of grout material and its adequacy

Level the baseframe with the help of water level on all four corners, mid of the baseframe and compressor top

Ensure adequate pockets are provided on the baseframe for pouring grouting material

Check proper shutters are provided around the skid for pouring grouting material

Ensure grout material freely flows to every corner of the baseframe

Ensure jack bolts are released after curing

Ensure tightness of foundation bolts

Check battery limits connection as per GA and site orientation

Alignment of Compressor and Engine/Motor

Check soft foot of compressor as per OEM recommendation

Check thermal growth of compressor and engine/motor for maintaining height difference

Maintain the distance between compressor and engine/motor as per coupling drawing. In case refer baseframe drawing for fresh alignment

Carry out rough alignment between Compressor, engine and AHE(incase of inline engine driven design only). In case of motor driven packages, carry out rough
alignment between compressor and motor

In case pockets are provided for engine foundation, proceed for pouring grout after rough alignment

Maintain the axial and radial alignment readings as per OEM recommendation

Check proper torque is applied on Compressor & engine/motor hold on bolts

Installation of Equipments, piping spools & supports

CHECKLIST FOR ERECTION/COMMISSIONING OF RECIPROCATING GAS COMPRESSOR PACKAGE

Check all the piping spools, supports(if pre-fabricated) are as per packing list

Check tightness of flanges bolts assembled pipes of compressor skid

Carry out air flushing of pipes and equipment, if required

Install equipments, pipes spools and supports outside skid as per GA and isometric drawings.

Install piping valves and safety valves as per P&ID and isometric drawings

Assembly of Air cooled heat exchanger

Check levelling of heat exchanger as per the GA drawing

Check pulley installation and its alignment

Check tightness of all nuts and bolts

Carry out inspection of cooler tube bundles

Carry out physical inspection of the cooler for any damage parts

Carry out inspection of greasing for all the bearings

Carry out Installation of fan and inspection of fan blades bolts tightness

Ensure proper fittment of Belt Guard

Ensure cleaning of fins, if required

Gas Compressor

Check tightness of hold down bolts as per torque recoommended by OEM

Check tightness of cylinder/crosshead guide supports as per torque recoommended by OEM

Check cylinder/distance piece/ VVCP drain, vent and cylinder lubrication tubing

Check BiCera valve fitment

Check installation of filter in between lube oil tank & force feed lubrication pump

Check frame lubrication oil circuit as per P&ID

Check oil level in Frame and lube oil tank

Check oil level in lubricator box

Ensure tubing from frame to lubricator tube is removed and plugged

Ensure breather is installed on frame

Engine

Check tightness of hold down bolts as per torque recoommended by OEM

Check fuel line, air line, air exhaust, hot gas exhaust installed as per P&ID

Check installation of filter in fuel line and conical stariner in air line

Check frame lubrication oil circuit as per P&ID

Check oil level as per sump capacity

Check muffler installation on air exhaust line

Ensure EJW and AUX purging vent tubing is completed. Install if supplied loose

Ensure insulation is done on hot gas exhaust line

Check direction of silencer before fitment

Check proper installation of pressure caps of EJW and AUX

Electrical & Instrumentation

Ensure all the instruments are installed as per P&ID and instrument schedule

Check electrical earthing for compressor package

Ensure separate instrument earthing

Check cable laying between main source to compressor package

Check proper termination & tightening of electrical and instrument cables
