TCW Activity 1 - Diana Mae D. Santos

This document contains a student's response to being tasked as the elected SSG president to provide programs that can help their community amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. The student proposes three plans: 1) hosting contests like slogan and poster making with themes of following safety protocols, 2) creating an advocacy campaign to educate students on following protocols, and 3) holding webinars to allow real-time sharing of information on the importance of safety protocols and how they prevent virus spread. The goals are to educate the community, especially students, on safety protocols through interactive and engaging activities.

Activity 1 – Me and My Community

Situation: You are the elected SSG president in your school, you are tasked to provide
programs and activities that can help your community. As a president, how can you
promote the safety health protocol campaign to your community amidst the COVID-19
pandemic? Write down your plans and advocacies that will make a change in our
society.

1. Contests

I'll plan activities that will help students

understand the necessity of following safety
health protocol, like slogan, poster making and
essay writing contests with the theme "The
Importance of Following Safety Health Protocol
to Fight COVID-19”. Students will not only have
fun while participating in these activities in
school, but they will also gain knowledge that
they can use to themselves and will
undoubtedly aid our community in the fight
against COVID-19.
2. Making an Advocacy

I will create an advocacy that will educate students on the necessity of adhering to
safety and health protocols. Encouraging other students to address this issue will help
us reach a wider audience and will teach them how to take action in response to the
problem. It is necessary that they understand this topic because it will not only benefit
the community, but will also help them in protecting themselves from the virus.

3. Webinars

The major goal of webinars is to allow participants to connect, communicate, and

share information in real time. Webinar technology providers provide a number of
features to allow participants to chat, engage with one another, and share photos,
presentations, graphs, and other media in real time. I can use this type of event to
educate students about the importance of following safety health protocols in fighting
COVID-19 and how it can help to prevent the spread of the virus. Because it can be
done online, this will be a simple means of distributing knowledge about the issue.
