    Read the text about Juan’s summer holiday. Then read

    Two weeks ago, Juan’s school closed for the summer holidays
    and he felt happy. That weekend, Juan visited his grandparents,
    who live in the countryside near Bilbao. Juan loves visiting them.
    He enjoys spending time in the garden with his grandfather and
    learning about plants. Juan’s grandfather is great at teaching
    him about nature. Juan loves being in the kitchen with his
    grandmother. They bake cakes together. When Juan stayed
    with his grandparents, they visited the Guggenheim Museum in
    Bilbao. It was really busy.
    Last week, Juan joined a summer science club for young people near where he lives. He met a lot of
    children there and made new friends, like Pablo and Ignacio. Pablo is very friendly, confident and
    hard-working, but Ignacio is shy and lazy. Juan is the cleverest boy in the club. He always finishes his
    experiments first. Juan, Pablo and Ignacio are good at working together. They use the club’s tablets
    to find out information about the planets. On Friday, Juan couldn’t go to the club because he was
    sick. He felt sad but he called his friends on his phone that evening.
    Juan’s birthday is next Tuesday. He’ll have a party at home and all his friends will come. His mum
    will make him a cake that looks like a rocket. He hopes his parents will buy him a telescope for his
    birthday.
