Product concept AKS 4100U is available The coaxial version of AKS 4100U is designed
in two different versions: for use with R744 (CO2), HCFC, Non flammable
Cable version HFC and R717 (Ammonia). The AKS 4100U
Coaxial version coaxial version should always be used for marine
applications for all refrigerant types.
The cable version is used for lengths from 31.5
in. (800 mm) and up to 197 in. (5000 mm) and is
suitable for HCFC, Non flammable HFC and R717
(Ammonia). The AKS 4100U cable version should
NOT be used for CO2 or marine applications.

Measuring principle
(Cable and Coaxial) 1. An electromagnetic (EM) pulse is
transmitted by the signal converter
2. The pulse goes down the probe
at the speed of light in air, V1
3. The pulse is reflected
4. The pulse goes up the probe at
speed, V1
5. The converter receives the pulse
and records the signal
6. The EM pulse moves at speed, V1
7. Transmitted EM pulse

reference point of the device

of the product
