Participants: All learners of SLNHS are open to join or participate to the said contests.
Conduct Code:The participants and spectators are expected to display and act with politeness, courteousness,
patience, respect towards other participants and good sportsmanship during the competition.
Mechanics:
1. The slogan making contest is open to all Grade 7-12 students of San Leon National High School.
2. The participants must use their own art colouring materials and one-fourth white cartolina.
3. The participants will make their own slogan based on the theme “ Katatagan at Pagbangon ng Leonisians sa
Panahon ng Pandemya”.It must be in Filipino or English language using a maximum of 9 words.
4. The participants will make their own poster based on the theme “ Katatagan at Pagbangon ng Leonisians sa
Panahon ng Pandemya”.
5. All participants will take a picture or video(before, during, and after) while making their slogan and poster and
send it to the assigned teacher through messenger, whatsapp, or email.
6. Their will be Three winners.
7. The decision of the judges will be final and irrevocable.

patience, respect towards other participants and good sportsmanship during the competition.
Guidelines and Mechanics:
1. All contestants have to be in the designated venue on and before 9:00 a.m.
2. Attendance checking of the participants will start 8:30 a.m.
3. The venue of the said event is at SLNHS mini covered gymnasium.
4. There are two phases of the Spelling Bee competition. Elimination round and final round.
A. Elimination Round 1. Participants will provide their own pentel pens or marker and the
organizers will provide writing sheets during these phase. The monitor will collect the writing sheets after
the arbitrator checks the spelling of every contestant.
B. There will be three sub rounds: easy, average, and difficult.
C. There will be 10 words to be given each sub rounds by the bee master.
D. The bee master will pronounce each word twice and give an aid to word identification.
Countdown will start after the word has been pronounced the second time by the bee master.
E. The contestants will be given 20 seconds to simultaneously write the word on the writing
sheet provided.
F. Should a participant wish to change the spelling that he/she has written down, the first one
should be crossed out with one horizontal line and the new and final spelling, be written clearly above the
crossed-out word. A participant is allowed to change his/her answer within the time allotted for a particular
word.
5. Those who spelled seven to ten words correctly will continue in the contest, while those who spelled six
words below will be eliminated.
6. Final Round:
A. When Participants are reduced to ten, participants will not be allowed to write the word upon
spelling it but he/she has to spell it orally. Every round, each contestants will pick up his/her own word to
be spelled among the rolled papers provided and give it to the Bee master.
B. The participant must: pronounce the word before spelling, look at the bee master when spelling
the word, pronounce the word again after the word is spelled, and speak clearly and loudly.
C. If the student still begins to spell without pronouncing the word, he/she will be disqualified from
the contest.
D. The participants shall have 10 seconds from the time he/she pronounces the word until he/she
must begin spelling the word.
E. Once the contestant/participant begins spelling the word , he/she will have 20 seconds remaining
time to complete the spelling of the word.
F. When participants misspells a word, he/she immediately drops out the contest. The pattern will
continue until one of the contestants is declared the champion.

Guidelines and Mechanics:
1. The coverage of the quiz bee includes General Education Subjects: English, Filipino, Science, Literature and Social
Sciences.
2. It is open to all SLNHS learners.
3. The participant will write his/her answers at the black part of the illustration board.
4. All participants will answer the same set of questions in writing. Before the question is read, the group must raise their
markers (chalk).
5. There will be three (3) components in the competition namely: Elimination Round, Semi-Final Round and the Final
Round.
6. The elimination round has seven (7) questions worth 2 points, the semi-final round has nine (9) questions worth 3 points
and in the final round has seven (7) questions worth 5 points.
7. In the elimination round, only the top six (6) participants will qualify to the next (semi-final) round.
8. At the end of semi-final round, only the top three (3) participants will move to the final round.
9. The questions will be read by the quizmaster twice.
10. After the second (2nd) reading, the Quizmaster shall say “go”, only then the participants be allowed to write their
answers. Automatically, the (10) second time-limit will begin with the word “go” by the Quizmaster.
11. After the time-limit, the whistle is blown by the time-keeper. The groups must stop writing and must raise their answer
boards.
12. The Quizmaster shall read and verify the participants answer.
13. The participant who gets the highest number of points is automatically declared the champion or the runner-up as the case
may be.

Participants: Each Grade level (7-12) must have two (2) representatives.
Conduct Code:The participants and spectators are expected to display and act with politeness, courteousness, patience,
respect towards other participants and good sportsmanship during the competition.
Guidelines and Mechanics:
1. All entries should have a minimum of ten (6) and maximum of sixteen (12) members.
2. All members of the entries should be student of SLNHS.
3. The duration of the dance should be a minimum of 4 minutes, and a maximum of 7 minutes.
4. Any kind of TikTok dance is allowed (locking, popping, krump, house, stepping, breakdance, wacking, tutting,
vogueing, party dances, hiphop choreography) or any kind of dance with hip hop as their focal thought of
choreography, provided that the choreographers of the group have the proper knowledge or background to execute
it properly.
5. No vulgarity, obscenity, and explicit contents are allowed.
6. Costumes must be decent.Attire may include accessories such as hats, scarves, caps, gloves, jewelries, etc.
Removing pieces of clothing during the performance is permitted provided it is not offensive or out of character.
7. There is no maximum or minimum number of songs/recordings that may be used in the routine, and may be
edited to enhance choreography and personal performance.
8. Participants will be given opportunity to block their routine on stage before the competition.
8. A panel of judges shall determine the winners based on the foregoing criteria. Any violation of the foregoing
rules may cause 3 points deduction per violation on the final score. The decision of the panel shall be final and
irrevocable.
