FMU-152A/B
A Multi-Function Hard/Soft Target fuzing system developed for use by
both NAVAIR and the USAF in the MK8O series, BLU-1O9, BLU-11O,
BLU-111, BLU-113, BLU-117, BLU-122 and in conjunction with JDAM and
Paveway weapon kits and with High Drag and Low Drag Tail Kits.

In addition to impact/post-impact delay, the fuze is capable

of accepting a signal from a separate Proximity Sensor
(e.g., DSU-33D/B).
The Fuzing system meets the safety criteria of MIL-STD-1316D.

These fuzes are manufactured by KAMAN.

MAIN FEATURES
• Compatible with most U.S. Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps and NATO aircraft.
• Compatible with most in-service weapon guidance kits, tail units and high-explosive bombs.
• All arming and detonation event functions combined in a single fuze system.
• Two independent arming rotor locks to ensure high safety integrity.
• Dual independent launch signals and environmental sensing.
• High altitude release capability.
• RS422 interface compatible with JDAM and Paveway weapons.
• 1O year service life and 2O year shelf life.
• Operational reliability in the field is greater than 98%.
• Compatible with UAV deployment.

SAM 14OO ELECTRONIC PROXIMITY FUZE

The fuze incorporates exciting new state of the art technology

using SFMCW, a proprietary Technology ensuring height of
burst accuracy of 6 metres ±2metres, also rendering the fuze
immune to mutual interference, enemy jamming and
battlefield disturbances such as dust, smoke and other radio
emissions, utilising comprehensive signal processing
technology. Enhanced life cycle (no batteries or stored
energy) increases shelf life up to 15 years if stored in original
packaging in controlled depot condition environment.

FEATURES
The Fuze is an Electronic Proximity type, designed for use on:
• All calibres with 2" fuze cavity, i.e. NATO configuration
• All calibres with M52 cavity, i.e. WARSAW configuration
• MK8O series bombs using the T 45/M 148 Booster Adaptor
The Electronic safety time is user selectable: 4 - 6O sec,
depending on the release parameters.
