INTRODUCTION
AutoCAD is a computer-aided design software programme created by
Autodesk (hence the name AutoCAD). It enables you to sketch and edit digital
2D and 3D designs faster and more readily than you could by hand. The data
may also be readily downloaded and kept on the cloud, allowing them to be
accessible from any location at any time.
John Walker, a co-author of the earliest versions of AutoCAD, created the firm
in 1982. Autodesk is best known for AutoCAD, but it currently offers a wide
range of tools for design, engineering, and entertainment, as well as a line of
consumer applications, including Sketchbook. As of 1994, it was sponsored by
750 training centres globally. By March 1986, AutoCAD had become the most
widely used CAD application in the world as Autodesk's flagship product. As of
2014, AutoCAD is in its twenty-ninth version, and it remains the most
extensively used CAD application in the majority of the globe when combined
with all of its variations.

Example of CAD software

There are some softwares that are developed by CAD software.
• 2D CAD
• 3D CAD
• 3D WIREFRAME AND SUFFAE MODELLING
• SOLID MODELLING
Benefits of using AutoCAD
Easy Edits: Before computers, designers had to manually update designs.
You'd have to start from scratch or revise an existing document, which may get
complicated and difficult to understand. AutoCAD allows you to effortlessly
update and manipulate designs.
Faster Edits: To repeat design elements, you may construct a reusable block
library. Do you have a good window system? Use it once more. A
manufacturing component you'll need again and again? To improve efficiency,
save it to your block library. Saved files may be utilised and re-used later,
which speeds up the design process compared to doing it by hand.
Better Accuracy: Drawing something small by hand is limited, but AutoCAD
allows you to design down to fractions. This results in a more precise design in
all dimensions.

OBJECTIVE
In the past, engineers and architects could only illustrate their ideas by hand
sketching them. In recent years, computers and design tools like as Autocad
have essentially supplanted pen and paper. With digital designs, such concepts
come to life more faster and more efficiently.

CAD system advantages compared to common drawing techique in term of :

• Learn sketching and understanding field dimensions
• Take data and use it to transform the data into drawings.
• Learning the fundamentals of CAD drawing formats and commands.
• Learning basic AutoCAD skills
• Learns to drawing 2D drawings or drafting in AutoCAD.
• Understand the concept and the techniques to draw.
• Navigate throuhgout AutoCAD using major navigating tools.
CONCLUSION
In the conclusion, the AutoCAD application is the choice in most companies
because it meets the necessary criteria, which is that the results are neater and
more accurate. AutoCAD saves times and costs. Easy and effcicient because it
can continue to be printed after complete the drawing. AutoCAD drawings are
unlimited so they can be used to make drawings with the size which is larGE
scale and complex. Finally, drawings produce using AutoCAD are easy to save
and can be used for other purposes such as making perspective 3D drawings.
