Preface

Dear users:

Thank you for choosing our ZENSEN products.

Please read the instructions completely before using the machine.

Incorrect or improper operation may lead to the breakdown and damage

of the machine, which may reduce its service life, and even cause to

personal injury accident.

Please keep this manual properly for future reference.

Thank you for your kind cooperation.

The manual layout belongs to our company, without our


permission, other people cannot reprint.

Important Safety Instructions

The operators must read and understand all instructions before

installation, electrical connection (wiring), machine running,

maintenance and inspection to ensure proper operations. During the

normal use of your machine, close supervision is necessary, and safety

precautions should always be followed.

▁▁▁Installation

■The machine is packed as a whole. Violent collisions should be avoided

during transportation and unpacking, so as not to affect the machine

accuracy or damage the components.

■Installation direction should be conductive to safe operation. The

operator should face the wall. Leave no less than 1.5m space all around

the machine. (Figure 1)

▁▁▁Wiring

■It is required to equip with a protection circuit breaker on the side

of machine’s Power Supply.

■The machine must be connected to the grounding wire.

■Wiring after putting the machine in the right position by a qualified

electrician ,and it must be performed under the condition of power

off.

■The Input Power Phase, Rated Voltage and Frequency must be

consistent with this manual requirement. Power lead-in wire load area

must be confirmed according to the Rated Current in the manual.

▁▁▁Machine Running

■All the safety protection device must be confirmed to be normal

before running the machine. Abnormal safety protection device may

result in personal injury.

■Do not operate if the surface of brake lining is oily, braking time is

too long, or brake lining wears sharply, until it has been examined and

repaired. Otherwise, in case of emergency, personal injury may occur

due to the irregularity braking.

■Main Power must be shut off before checking the distance of the

frame or installation of the module. The operation must be done after

all moving parts stop moving to avoid electric shock or personal injury.

▁▁▁Maintenance and Inspection, Components Replacement

■Non-professionals cannot conduct electrical maintenance inspection

and replacement of electrical components, otherwise electric shock or

personal injury may occur.

■Modification of the safety relay circuit will not be accepted. The

troubleshooting or components replacement of this part must be done

by professionals, better under the guidance of our company. Otherwise,

machine may loss its safety function. Major accidents may occur due

to ineffective safety device.

I、 Introduction

ML series is hand-delivered creasing and die cutting machine. It is the

new product after introduction of advanced design at home and abroad.

This series of machine is characterized by compact structure, varied

functions, big pressure, high precision, easy and safe operation, etc. It

is suitable for printing and cutting various forming cardboard, plastic

and leather products. Various senior fine print in creasing

more stereo feeling.

III、 Basic Structure

1、Machine is packed as a whole. After user receives the machine,

please remove the outer box, check the accessories and spare parts

according to the packing list, clear the antirust grease, and check left

and right into a horizontal position after installing the machine on the

ground before putting the machine into use. It is better to place the

cushion under the around of the base, in order to avoid moving during

machine is working.

2、The Input Voltage (please refer to the electrical circuit diagram)

wiring must be carried out by a professional electrician.

IV、 Operation Methods

1、Inspection Before Operation:

① Make sure the electric motors and electrical equipment are dry,

insulation is in good condition, and line joints are without loose.

② Make sure the safety device is sensitive and reliable without loose.

③ Fill lubricating oil to the oil cups through the hole, observe whether

the tubing flows. Fill grease between large gear and middle gear (stand

guide should be lubricated by Oiler).

④ Do not turn on the machine immediately after it is powered. It

should be operated manually first (switch the electric control box to

“checking” position). Manually drive the transmission shaft with

specially equipped wrench for several reciprocating movements, check

out whether there is obstruction. After confirming it is normal, switch

the electric control box to “working” position.

2、Precautions During Operation:

① First press “start” button after turning on the main power, then

press “press” button until the flywheels rotate steadily.

② The horn shape brake lever on the stand should be flexible and stop

fast. The safety protection device above the pressure frame and below

the operating handle should be flexible and reliable.

③ Check the situation of the transmission response of electromagnetic

clutch, to see whether there is sliding or slow action phenomenon.

④ Tubing oil filling should be smooth. Refueling not less than 2-3 times

in each shift.

3、Brief Introduction of Usage:

①Do not start pressing or cutting paper before idling normally.

Fasten the frame with fixed cutting or creasing blade on the base plate.

Cut off the power during installing, checking and adjusting the plate,

in order to ensure safety.

②The factory data of plate distance is 23.8mm, it can be readjusted

according to the actual height of cutting or creasing blade and the

thickness of the cardboard.

③If the cardboard position is not put right or the machine fails to get

out the pressed product during operation, please stop the machine

immediately by pulling the crossbar switch handle and straighten the

cardboard or take out the finished product, in order to avoid generating

waste products. This machine is equipped with automatic returning

device. It will reset the crossbar automatically since the second time.

This function is only applicable to some models.

④This machine has three functional devices of continuous, delay and

single cut. Please turn the delay switch to the position of “delay” if

you want to delay the pressed frame opening time (0-9.9s), while turn

to “continuous” position can ensure continuous cutting or creasing.

⑤Please turn the counter switch to “on” if you need to count the

cutting or creasing times.

V、 Adjustment of Cutting Accuracy

Please take sample for pressure testing before batch process and observe

whether the pressing depth around is even on the sample. It can be

adjusted if following situations are found.

1、The sample pressing depth is uneven from left to right: adjust the

left and right eccentric gears respectively. Adjust method: loosen the

fastening screws (adjust the gear and rack top pieces back, off the

fitting tooth surface,turn the eccentric sleeve left or right a little,

and then adjust the gear and rack top pieces for fitting tooth surface).

Please also fasten the fastening screws on the positioning plate and

security board (adjustment number and direction please refer to the

heart ruler).

2、The sample pressing depth is uneven from up to down: adjust upper

and lower adjustment blocks in the guide groove. Adjust method: first

loosen the fastening screws of both guide grooves left and right

respectively. When the upper creasing line of product sample is shallow,

please release the lower press block upwards, with equal adjustments

left and right. Upper and lower facing gap should be below 0.05mm.

At the same time, please adjust the eccentric bushing on curve ring

support accordingly, to ensure the bearing roller moves flexibly in curve

ring tank. (Note: please loosen the bracket screws before big

adjustment).

VI、 Maintenance

This machine has a simple structure and operates conveniently. But

improper maintenance may also cause failure to the machine.

1、Minor failure and trouble shooting:

①Minor failure is “blocking”, namely, when the machine is working,

connecting rod sticks at the dead point, the press frame stops working

suddenly, and triangle belt slips or motor stalls. The main reason for

this phenomenon is inaccurate frame distance, or cardboard quantity

exceeds the regulated number, or motor triangle belt is too loose. You

should first check the motor and triangle belt, making it in tension.

For models of ML750-ML1200, please switch the electric control box

to “checking” position after flywheels completely stop, and then

manually drive the transmission shaft by covering enclosed special

wrench on the square end of the shaft, in order to open the pressure

frame. Afterwards, please switch the electric control box to “working”

position, readjust the frame distance and then continue the machine’s

running. For models of ML1300-ML2500, please pull the clutch after

flywheels completely stop, make the jaw clutch connected, drive the

worm shaft counterclockwise with wrench, and then open the pressure

frame slowly. Afterwards, please do not start machine’s running before

turning the worm shaft back the original position, making the jaw clutch

unconnected, and readjusting the frame distance. Otherwise, it will

damage the accessories in the worm wheel.

VII、 Safety

1、This machine has equipped with safety rod on the side and with

triangle security protection device on the top surface of the pressure

frame. People can push the safety rod or rocking block when entering

operation position for fast brake, so as to protect people and machine

from risk. Nonetheless, please pay attention to following matters

during operation.

① Do not put anything on the inclined plane of the base, in order to

avoid it falling to the place between pressure frame and the base and

damage the machine.

② Ensure the cleanness and smooth of the curve ring groove, keep it

from any debris, so as to ensure the pressing and cutting accuracy.

③ Regularly check whether the fastening screws of the curve ring

bracket is loose, and fasten them timely to avoid damaging the machine.

④ Keep the brush ring and surface clean, make it good contact, so as

not to affect the sensitivity of the clutch.

VIII、 Adjustment and Use of the Clutch

1 、 This machine adopts direct current electromagnetic clutch

transmission. The electromagnetic clutch is turned the direct current

through the brush and brush ring, then the friction disk is pulled in

by the magnetic adhesion to make the platen frame work. When

disconnecting the exciting current, spring pushes friction to the brake

ring, and braking is done. The magnetic circuit of electromagnetic has

quite influence on transmission torque and brake performance.

Oversized magnetic circuit may weaken the machine’s pressing and

cutting torque, and lead to blocking. Undersized magnetic circuit may

greatly increase the core remanence function time, weaken the braking

function, and lead to slipping. So reasonable adjusting clutch is quite

important.

2、The electromagnetic clutch has been set before leaving factory

(working gap is 0.4-0.6mm). Please do proper adjustment when the

friction plate wears after being used for a long time, or pressing and

cutting torque lessened, or braking speed slowed. The relative position

of brake disc and the friction plate can be modified slightly by micro

adjusting the pulling bolts and jacking bolts, in order to reach the

optimal clearance of suction and brake speed. Please pay attention to

micro adjustment control and guarantee an anastomotic friction plane

during adjustment, while which please using plug gauge inspection all

around, to ensure the strength of friction.

3、Poor lubrication of rotating parts, bearing heats, and entanglement

may also cause “blocking”, which is mainly due to the lack of lubricating

oil. Please check and confirm that all lubricating oil roads are smooth,

and oil holes and cups have been filled with lubricating oil. If the machine

still can’t start when the condition of lubricating oil is good, then the

problem may be caused by oil shortage of the bearing of the rotating

parts or the bearing being entangled by debris. In this case, please

remove the bearing for checking and repairing.

4、Do the maintenance work to ensure smooth production.

① Please abide by all provisions of the instructions and announcements.

② Please fill lubricating oil frequently to the oil cups and moving parts,

not less than 2-3 times in each shift.

③ Please check the running situation of the machine frequently, and

stop it for recondition timely if there’s any abnormal condition be

found.

④ please keep machine’s cleanliness in good condition.

⑤ Please do overhaul and maintenance once a year.
