II. COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course focuses on the advanced topics in operating system such as emphasis on security, resource
management, and fault tolerance. Also, this course is designed to introduce advanced topics in
computer networks. It expands students' knowledge of modern network technologies. Also,
practically oriented and focused on explaining the function of advanced network protocols as used in
modern data networks of today and tomorrow. The course explores emerging research challenges in
the field of operating systems and networks.

Research papers based on various improvements and/or implementations of OS CLO 2, 3
and networking. Select a published paper for each major topics (OS and
Networking) and make a review on that paper.
