    A smart home is a has an automation system and has its devices

    interconnected through the internet gives you on-demand access to


    control your lighting, home security, etc. Following are my ideas of an
    ideal smart home-

    1. Automated ventilation, heating and air conditioning-


    Smart technology that can optimize heating and cooling of your
    home to conserve energy. It can adjust to your family’s routine, and
    on that basis adapt its settings to your lifestyle and preference.

    2. Smart lighting-
    Smart bulbs that can be switched on or off, dimmed and brightened
    with the help of a virtual assistant like Alexa add to the overall
    experience of a smart home. One can schedule them to turn on at
    any time and dim them at will, or set them in a way that they will
    turn off when you leave the room or house.

    3. Intercom system-
    You can use this smart intercom system to connect various rooms in
    your house to make communication during emergencies and
    otherwise easier. It can also be used to video chat to someone
    outside the front door, thus improving security as well.

    4. Security system- The top component for every smart home is


    the security system. A security system is there to protect you and
    raise the alarm in a big emergency like a fire or a break-in. It can
    show you who's at your front door, and let you talk to
    them, through a video doorbell. It can also let you know if a
    window is open or door is left ajar or if you have a water leak in
    the basement.

    incorporate the following features to make it more smart-
    1. Sensors to provide updates on air pollution, noise and river
    levels so that district administrative bodies can take required
    action without delay.
    2. Set off alarms in case of an accident.
    3. Adjusting traffic lights to regulate traffic flow.
