FESTIVAL OF TALENTS EMCEE SCRIPT DAY 2 (APRIL 28)

Chloe - Green

DAY 2 (APRIL 28)
Welcome back dear Carmelians to day 2 of the Carmelian Festival of Talents! Yesterday, we
were able to witness the Impromptu Speech & Spoken Poetry. I hope that along with the
participants in the Tagisan ng Talino, the representatives of the On-the-Spot Poster Making
Competition, Digital arts, Photography, and Food Plating were able to bring out the best of their
talents and abilities.

Today, we will have the main portion of the entire program, which is the Musical Instrument,
Singing, and Dance competition. I am sure that the Carmelians are excited to watch the
performances, isn’t that right Chloe?

Of course Joash! I don’t know about you, but I sure can’t wait to see the different performances
of the High school learners in all of today’s events. But before we indulge in all that excitement,
let us first witness the doxology prepared by the Campus Ministry and the special participation
of Kaden Ford Lorenzano.

(Doxology by the Campus Ministry)

Thank you for that solemn and heartfelt performance. We know that God is the reason not only
why we were all given gifts, but for all the blessings we have experienced.

Now, let us move on and once again hear a serenade of beautiful vocals of the Carmelian
Voices!

(Pilipinas Kong Mahal by The Carmelian Voices)

Even though they have already sung for us yesterday, I can’t help but still be amazed by their
voices.

Then we should all look forward to the singing competition later. I’m sure it will be even more
incredible.

I know it will be. Now may we call on Miss Jezelle Lois Lacanaria for the welcoming remarks
and introduction of the judges.

(Welcome Remarks and Introduction of Judges by Miss Jezelle Lois M. Lacanaria)

Thank you Ma’am Jezzelle for that wonderful and insightful opening.

Now, without further ado, how about we start the first competition? I'm sure everyone is excited
to watch the performances in the Musical Instrument Competition.

I couldn't agree more! Before we move on, we would like to remind everyone that the different
events we had yesterday and the events for this day is divided into two categories. Category A
for grades 7 and 8 and Category B for grades 9- 12. Okay, let us have the criteria for the
Musical Instrument Competition

Expression – 40%
Articulation- 20%
Total: 100 %
Let us welcome the contestants from Category A. Starting with Martin Hernandez from 7B. Let
the show begin Martin!

Thank you, Martin! Representing the 8A Class we have Helena Bandiwan. Take it away.

Next in line is the pride of 8B. Let us welcome Keiczer Quela.

Thank you Keiczer. Last but not the least from Category A is Leyanna Palima from 7A.

Thank you, performers, from Category A. Let us proceed to Category B. Starting with grade 9-
Paul Abellera.

Representing the class of grade 11, Jharaine Saberola.

Thank you Jharaine. Let us welcome Bryean Joeward Manapeng of grade 10.

And the last contestant for Category B Musical Instrument is Wendell Biala of grade 12.
(Musical Instrument Competition)

It's admirable that they can play something as complicated as an instrument, no matter what
instrument that may be.

As someone who doesn’t know how to play any musical instrument, I heard that it is hard for
some people to multi-task while playing an instrument.

Indeed. Now, before we move on to the singing competition, let us watch an intermission
number prepared for us once again by the Carmelian Hataw Galaw! The Stage is Yours!

(Intermission Number by Hataw Galaw)

Such lovely and inspiring moves! You never cease to impress, the name Hataw Galaw definitely
suits the group.

I’m certain that they will shine more brightly in the future. We’ll look forward to your growth as
dancers.

I think we’ve made everyone wait long enough. Don’t you think so Chloe?

Ah! I guess we have, well then we won’t keep you long. Everyone let us hear the wonderful
voices of the Carmelians in the singing competition!

Before we proceed, let us look at the criteria for the Singing Competition
Intonation- 40%
Rhythm and Melody- 20%
Dynamics- 20%
Performance and delivery – 20%
Total: 100 %

Let us have the contestants for the Category A. Take it away Thania Domingo of grade 8A!

What a performance! Mariell Botangen of Grade 8B wont backdown.

Amazing! Let us welcome on stage, the representative of 7A, Angelo Cedrie Lag-ey.

Rock and roll Angelo! Representing the class of 7B, we have Szymon Lagadan.

What a superb performance from our freshmen and sophomores! Definitely, the Carmelian
learners from Category B are eager to show their talents! Let us start with the oldest among the
group, let us cheer for Carlyn Kewan of grade 12.

Next in line is the singer from grade 10, Elaiza Pascual.

What a beautiful rendition. Clap your hands for Hanessy Paduyao of grade 11.

Wow, what a powerful voice! Let us give it up for Dheryll Castillo of grade 9.

(Singing Competition)

There you have it folks! To think that they can bring out such differing emotions with simply their
voice.

Indeed, that in itself is quite a feat don’t you think? Since not everybody can sing so well.

Some people are naturally gifted with wonderful voices or talent in singing. Of course, some
people work hard in learning how to sing, but either way, it is still impressive.

Well, get ready to be even more impressed with the Dance competition! I know that they give us
powerful and beautiful moves. Let us welcome the contestants for the awaited dance challenge!

Indeed partner, but let me halt your excitement first by giving the criteria.
Choreography – 50%
Execution- 25%
Expression- 15%
Attire- 10%
Total : 100%

With that being said, let us give it up for Category A. Starting with the delightful dancers of 7A,
the Dancing Rockets.

Thank you 7A, that was an invigorating performance. Up next is the different individuals coming
together in a dance. Calling the LMNTRIX of grade 8B.

Let us all be relax and dance to the music and dance moves of grade 8A, Cassiopeia.

Thank you grade 8A. Let us give our thunderous applause to the Dancing Dynasty of grade 7B.
Thumbs up for your winning performances Category A. At this point, let us watch the electrifying
moves of SZN10 of grade 10!

Thank you grade 10 for that superb performance. Up next are the dancers of grade 12, Arletian
the stage is yours!

To bring you to the next level of excitement, put your hands together to our next
performers, Above beyond, from grade 9.

To complete today’s contests, let’s give our loudest applause to the final set of performers,
D’billions from grade 11.

(Dance Challenge)

Wow! No wonder you told us to look forward to the dance challenge yesterday!

I told you! Every year the Carmelians always give their best and go all out in these competitions!

I see what you mean, after all, this is a time for them to show us what they’ve got. But I'm afraid
those are all of the performances we have for today. Aren’t you excited to finally find out who
are the winners of the different events and competitions?

You bet I am! And I know everyone here is as well. We won't keep you waiting. May we call on
Miss Mary Rose Claveria to announce the winners.

(Awarding of Winners by Miss Mary Rose Claveria)

A Big Congratulations to the winners! You have shown us through your performances that you
have what it takes to make the most of your talents and abilities. Of course, this is not only to
the winners but to each one of you who participated. It takes tremendous courage and
confidence in one’s self to share your God-given talents with others.

We hope that through this program, you were not only able to have fun but you were able to
further enhance and develop the skills and talents that you already have. That the next time you
have the opportunity to once again showcase your abilities, you would surpass your current
limits.

At this juncture, we would like to thank Ma’am Dona and the administrative team,
to our panel of judges, to our technical support group, to our parents, and to all
who have contributed to the success of this program as well as to all who are
present here today.

And Joash. Please turn on your cameras and give your best smile for our photoshoot! Continue
smiling!

We’ll see you next time. Take care, everyone and good day!
