The document contains an end of term mathematics examination for S.1 students at Birere Secondary School. [SECTION A] contains two questions about drawing a timetable for two school levels and constructing a triangle with given dimensions. [SECTION B] contains six shorter questions about number sequences, drawing a rectangle from given corner coordinates, calculating previous cattle population given a percentage decrease, and calculating when three runners will be at the starting point again based on their lap times. The examination is over two sections worth a total of 30 marks and instructs students to attempt all questions and show neat work.

(Consider lessons up to Lunch time) (RESOURCES; LCM. Knowledge of fractions and natural numbers) (10 marks) 2. Using a ruler, a pencil and a pair of compasses only; a) Construct a triangle ABC, with AB=8cm, BC=12cm and angle BAC=1200 . b) (i) Draw a perpendicular line to BC from A. The perpendicular meets BC at point D (ii) Measure the AD and find the area of the triangle ABC c) Inscribe a circle in the triangle ABC and measure its radius (12 marks) (RESOURCES; Geometric figures, angles and degrees) (10 marks)
