Discuss the differences between the bathing cultures of different civilizations?
- Bathing played a major part in ancient Roman culture and society. It was one of the
most common daily activities in Roman culture and was practiced across a wide variety
of social classes.
-Though many contemporary cultures see bathing as a very private activity conducted in
the home, bathing in Rome was a communal activity. While the extremely wealthy could
afford bathing facilities in their homes, most people bathed in the communal baths
(thermae).

in the water?
- A child or weak swimmer can drown in the time it takes to reply to a text, check a fishing line
or apply sunscreen. Death and injury from drownings happen every day in home pools and hot
tubs, at the beach or in oceans, lakes, rivers and streams, bathtubs, and even buckets.

2. What is the difference between swimming in a pool and swimming in open
water?
- The key difference between pool and open water swimming is the water's
temperature. Whereas you can turn up to the pool on any day of the year in
