Summer Scrapbook
NAME: CLASS: Dear Parents
The summer holidays are almost here (hurray!) and I know that this is a time, which the children anticipate with great excitement until the boredom sets in after a couple of weeks!
I have decided to set my new class a project to keep them
amused on those rainy days. Each child is bringing home a ‘My Summer Scrapbook’ which I would like them to fill over the 6 weeks. It doesn’t matter if they’re not going on holiday; it can be filled with days out, visits to family and friends, shopping trips, even any games they play.
The book has plain pages which is ideal for sticking in photos, tickets and leaflets, or the children can draw pictures or write descriptions/diary entries of what they have been doing.
To encourage the children, I will display the books in September
and allow the rest of the class time to look through them. There will also be prizes on offer for those children who have worked hard and made their book interesting and imaginative.
I hope the children (and you!) will enjoy this project and I’ll look forward to spending some time looking through them.
