1. INTRODUCTION
This report shall be read in conjunction with the approved LBS Foundation Design
Report AECOM-1-TCD-ST1-0004 Rev 10.
The intent of this Addendum Report is to add pile foundation under Column C4A &
C4B as per Site Requirement. Column C4A and C4B are provided because Column
C4 is removed which will be located in front of the existing access road to BBPJN
office.
1.1 Scope of Report
The technical design of Lebak Bulus Station had been completed and the design
approved. However due to eliminating Column C4, Two new Column C4A and C4B
are installed & the pile foundation has now been provided.
The following table shows the relationship of this addendum report to the other
reports.

2. DESCRIPTION OF ASSESSMENT
2.1 Methodology
Structural elements of the station were modeled with their true material and section
properties. For the normal loading conditions a linear-elastic model was used to
assess the effect of the forces.
The lateral soil interaction with the pile structure is modelled as lateral soil springs.
The first soil spring was modelled at 1m below the pile cap bottom & 50% of the
spring value was applied at pile cap bottom node to account for the passive earth
resistance of the pile cap.
Under Seismic loading conditions, a linear-elastic dynamic analysis was used to
assess the response of the structure to the response spectrum under Operating
Design Earthquake (ODE) and Maximum Design Earthquake (MDE). Directional

combinations of the earthquake motions were taken into account in accordance with
EN1998-2 requirements.
3. CONCLUSION
The analysis model has been updated as per the Alternative-B Sketch and Pile
Foundation PG1 Pile Group has been added under Column C4A & C4B.
The revised drawings have been covered in the following enclosed drawings:

Maximum Crack Width per Face from Oasys = 0.000 mm OK
As per Cl. C5.2.8.9, pg. 5-64, AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications 2012,
Effective depth to be considered in the shear check
dv = 0.9 de
where de = D/2 + Dr
D = Dia of pile = 1.00 m
Dr = Dia of circle passing through the centres of longitudinal reinforcement
= 0.7615 m
Hence de = 0.742 m and dv = 0.668 m
Horizontal resultant shear force at the section, Vu = 704 kN
Corresponding axial compressive force, N = 4099 kN
Eff. width to be taken = diameter of section = bv = 1.00 m
Total vertical reinforcement at the section = 7854 mm2
Effective area of tensile steel = 50% of total steel = A s = 0.0039 m2
Percentage of tensile reinforcement = 100 As /(bv . dv) = 0.588 %
Horizontal shear force, Vu = 704 kN
