NOTES:
• You must have access to a computer (not a smartphone or iDevice) that has Internet
connectivity to complete the Offline Activation explained in this guide.
• Before you begin, you must have Studio One installed on the offline computer. We
recommend you download the Studio One installer from your MyPreSonus user
account to ensure you get the latest update. You must have a computer that is
connected to the web to download the latest update from your MyPreSonus account.
Once the installer is downloaded it can be transferred to the offline computer using a
flash drive or external hard drive.
1. First, be sure to install Studio One software onto your offline computer. You will have
to download the installer from a computer that is connected to the internet. Log into
your account My.PreSonus.com and register your license number to access your Studio
One installers. Download the correct installer for your computer’s Operating System
and then transport the Installer .exe (Windows) or .dmg (Mac) via a USB Flash/Thumb
Drive to your offline computer and install the software.
2. After the software has been installed onto the system hard drive, launch Studio One.
3. Select the “Studio One” menu option and in the drop down select the “Studio One
Activation” option. This will open the “Studio One Activation” menu.

You should now see the “Offline Activation” menu with your computer’s activation
code listed.
5. Copy the Activation Code in the window listed under item number 3 (or write it down
on a piece of paper) as circled in the illustration above. This is the code you will enter
into your MyPreSonus user account to retrieve the offline license for your computer.
This Activation Code will be a 16-digit alpha-numeric code that follows this format:
XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX
The above code is simply an example of where to look to find this code and should not be
used in your activation process!
7. Click on “My Products” in the main menu bar, then click on “Software”.
8. Underneath the “STUDIO ONE PRODUCTS” section, click on the Studio One 5 product
link that you have registered. If you haven’t registered Studio One into your account
please do so now.

10. In the next screen, click “Activate Software.” In the Offline Activation menu, enter the
activation code Studio One generated on your offline computer in the designated
field. Studio One can be installed on up to five computers at once, to keep track of
your activations, it is recommended that you give each computer its own name.
12. Once activated, click the “Download License” link that is in that same area of the
Software listing.
13. A Download will be initiated that will save the license file to the default download
location on the computer. Depending on which the Internet browser you use, you may
be asked where you want to save the file on your computer. Browse to where the file
was saved on your computer and copy the .license file to a USB Flash/Thumb Drive or
other removable media storage device.
14. Insert the USB Flash/Thumb Drive from Step #13 on this Offline Computer.
19. Drag the .license file from your computer’s desktop into the Offline Activation
window. You will be alerted when your software has been successfully activated.
Congratulations, your copy of Studio One is now activated!
