If I work hard, I’m sure I’ll get a promotion after a year. If I get a promotion, I’ll have more
responsibilities. But … if I have more responsibilities, I won’t have so much free time in the
evenings. If I don’t have so much free time, I won’t be able to go the gym. If I don’t go the
gym, I’ll get fat. Life isn’t easy.
I’ve just heard that there might be a strike in the factory. If (1) ____________________
