I. OBJECTIVES

A. CONTENT STANDARD
The learner demonstrates an understanding of world literature as a
source of wisdom in expressing and resolving conflicts between
individuals or groups and nature; strategies in evaluative reading,
writing, listening, and viewing; special speeches for occasions; and
effective use of structures of modification and pronouns.

B. PERFORMANCE STANDARD
The learner transfers learning by composing an argumentative essay
in preparation for delivering impromptu and extemporaneous
speeches using affirmation/negation markers and appropriate
prosodic features, stance, and behavior.

B. Developmental Activities

Face-to-Face. Divide the class into two (Pros and Cons). Ask them to
formulate their claims and present their arguments in a debate.
