Abstract
This qualitative study is conducted to know about the effects of online games to Grade 11 students in San Lorenzo Ruiz
Senior High School. This aims to understand the influence of online games on students during COVID-19 pandemic based
on their perceptions. The researchers conducted a survey by distributing questionnaires to 20 selected participants whereas
10 participants answered via Google forms and 10 participants answered through our printed questionnaires on Face to
Face. Based on the results, it shows that students are mostly influenced or convinced to play more because of friends and to
relieve some stress during their free time. Some had stated that they have experienced symptoms due to excessive playing
of online games. However, even if they play it more often, they will rather spend time with their families. This research
may have limitations: only a few pieces of information are collected since the participants are limited to 20 students within
a specific grade level. The recommendations for this include expanding the scope of research participants, and the
