ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
---------------
Voluntary Deductions and Absence Entitlement Elements Not Displayed in SOE and Payslip

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------
All earnings, deductions, absence entitlements should be displayed in payslip.
Business employment model is based on multi assignment, so few elements are defined at
assignment and few at payroll relationship level.

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Elements defined at assignment level with classification as Absence, Voluntary, Involuntary
Deductions not displayed in payslip;
2. As per (Doc ID 2578783.1) user added the balances and balance dimension to below balance
groups but unfortunately values still not displayed in payslip:
Global Payroll Assignment Earnings Balance Group
Global Payroll Assignment Pretax Deductions Balance Group
Global Payroll Assignment Other Deductions Balance Group
Note : in XML file user is able to view balance name related to element, but there is no value for
tag

CAUSE

Setup issue

SOLUTION

1. User to check if element balance is fed by the element's pay value and it has a definition with
dimension: Payroll Relationship, Tax Reporting Unit, Payslip;
2. Check the setup of balance group “Global Payroll Relationship Other Deductions for Global
Archive” to ensure the balance definition with this dimension is included in the balance group;
3. Then also check that this balance definition has a value in SOE balance results page as an
individual balance as well as when queried via balance group “Global Payroll Relationship Other
Deductions for Global Archive”.

Note: Running prepayment process is pre-requisite to seeing this dimension value in SOE

Absence Element Is Not Processed In Payroll Run (Doc ID 2610800.1) To Bottom

In this Document

Goal
Solution

APPLIES TO:

Oracle Fusion Global Payroll Cloud Service - Version 11.13.19.07.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

GOAL

Annual Vacation Entitlement Absence Element is not processed in Payroll Run although it is
existing in element entry.

SOLUTION

Absence element entry end date is before the Date Earned of the Payroll / Quickpay Run.
Hence, you need to have a Proration Event Group added for the element to pick it for processing.

In this case, the Absence entry was from 17-11-2019 to 23-11-2019.

The Date Earned and Date Processed are 30-Nov-2019

The element definition did not have Proration Group assigned.

So, since the element end date is 17-11-2019 and not present as of Date Earned 30-11-2019 - the
element was not picked for processing.

Added the seeded Proration Event Group to the Element Definition.

Made a change to the Absence entry to trigger changes in the element entry.

Ran a Quickpay as of 30-11-2019 - the element was picked and the issue is resolved.
