This document provides answers to questions about computer system components from a student named Nivea Pamela R. Tidoy who is taking a BS Psychology course. It discusses why the system unit is important, the differences between RAM and ROM, the most important system unit component (the processor), the differences between a hard drive and flash drive, and the most useful output device for a student (earphones). It also includes a labeled diagram of the main parts of a motherboard, identifying the processor, RAM, graphics card, and CPU cooler.

Shape up your mind.
Instruction: Share what you have learned by answering each of the following questions/items in two to three sentences.
1. Why is a system unit important as one of the components of a computer system?
To hold everything else together and shield the delicate electronic components from the outside. Computer units are critical for the proper operation of a computer system. 2. Briefly discuss the difference between a RAM and a ROM. RAM is temporary memory that stores the files you are working on briefly. ROM is non-volatile memory that holds instructions for your computer indefinitely. 3. Which system unit component do you think is the most important? Explain. (Just choose one) For me, it’s the processor because everything inside the system unit don’t run or function accordingly without the processor. 4. Differentiate a hard drive from a flash drive. A flash drive, on the other hand, has a lesser capacity than a hard disk. Hard drives have a lower mortality rate than flash drives. 5. As a student, which output device is most useful to you? Explain. For me, it’s the earphone because it can be easily carried and efficient than the earbuds. Earbuds can be easily gone missing one of its piece and you can only use it for like a few hours, if you forgot to charge it you cannot use it anymore unlike the earphone you just plug it in and it’s a flexible device because it is easily applied to any device such as computers and mp4/mp3 players.
Label Up! Instruction: Sketch and label the parts of a motherboard or you can have a cut out of a picture of a motherboard and label them accordingly. Paste it in the box.
The logic equipment that listens to and processes
the basic instructions that operate a computer is known as a processor (CPU).
RAM is essentially short-term memory where
data is stored as needed by the processor.
A graphics card provides high-quality visual
display by processing and executing graphical data using advanced graphical techniques, features and functions.
CPU cooler is absolutely necessary for any PC. It
keeps your CPU from getting so hot that it throttles its performance or shuts down, and, most importantly, it stops your CPU getting damaged or losing some lifespan
