(12) Passage
(13) Passage

Pilot oil from the rear charge pump is delivered to port (7) of the hydraulic block. The pilot oil flows
from port (7) through passage (13) to passage (12).

When solenoid valve (5) is de-energized, the spool of solenoid valve (5) blocks the oil in passage
(12). The spool opens a path between passage (4) and passage (9). Since passage (9) is open to the
hydraulic tank, pilot oil from port (3) and pilot oil from port (11) flows into passage (10). The pilot oil
flows from passage (10) through passage (4) to passage (9). Then, the pilot oil flows from passage (9)
through passage (8) to passage (6). The oil flows from passage (6) through passage (2) to port (1).
Then, the oil flows from port (1) back to the hydraulic tank.

When solenoid valve (5) is energized, the spool of solenoid valve (5) closes the path from passage (4)
to passage (9) and the spool of solenoid valve (5) opens a path from passage (12) to passage (4). Pilot
oil in passage (12) flows through passage (4) to passage (10). Pilot oil flows from passage (10)
through port (3) to the "Y" port of the front piston pump. Pilot oil also flows from passage (10)
through port (11) to the "Y" port of the rear piston pump.

(12) Passage

Pilot oil from the rear charge pump is delivered to port (7) of the hydraulic block. The pilot oil flows
from port (7) through passage (4) to passage (12).

When solenoid valve (6) is de-energized, the spool of solenoid valve (6) blocks the oil in passage
(12). The spool opens a path between passage (9) and passage (8). Since passage (8) is open to the
hydraulic tank, pilot oil from port (11) flows into passage (10). The pilot oil flows from passage (10)
through passage (9) to passage (8). Then, the pilot oil flows from passage (8) through passage (7) to
passage (5). The oil flows from passage (5) through passage (2) to port (1). Then, the oil flows from
port (1) back to the hydraulic tank. As a result, the brakes of the two piston motors are engaged.

When solenoid valve (6) is energized, the spool of solenoid valve (6) closes the path from passage (9)
to passage (8) and the spool of solenoid valve (6) opens a path from passage (12) to passage (9). Pilot
oil in passage (12) flows through passage (9) to passage (10). Pilot oil flows from passage (10)
through port (11) to the brakes of the two piston motors and the brakes are released.

Return oil from the bank valve flows into the hydraulic block through port (10). The oil flows from
port (10) through passage (3) to port (4). Then, the oil flows from port (4) to the hydraulic oil cooler.

If the hydraulic oil is cold, the hydraulic oil resists flow through the hydraulic oil cooler and the oil
builds pressure in passage (3). The oil flows from passage (3) through passage (17) to poppet (11).
Since the oil is cold, the pressure of the oil acts against poppet (11) and poppet (11) is forced against
the spring in spring chamber (12). The pressure of the oil overcomes the force of the spring and
poppet (11) opens a path from passage (17) to spring chamber (12). The oil flows from spring
chamber (12) through passage (9) to passage (2). Then, the oil flows from passage (2) through port (1)
back to the hydraulic tank.

If the hydraulic oil is warm, the hydraulic oil is less resistant as the oil flows through the hydraulic oil
cooler. The oil flows through the oil cooler back to port (8). The oil flows from port (8) through
passage (15) to port (13). Since passage (15) becomes narrower after passage (18), the oil flow
becomes restricted to port (13). Since the flow of oil is restricted, the oil pressure increases in passage
(15) and in passage (18). The oil in passage (18) acts against poppet (19) and poppet (19) is forced
against the spring in spring chamber (20). The pressure of the oil in passage (18) overcomes the force
of the spring in spring chamber (20) and poppet (19) opens a path from passage (18) to spring
chamber (20). Some of the oil flows from passage (18) through spring chamber (20) to passage (21).
The oil flows from passage (21) through passage (2) to port (1). Then, the oil flows from port (1) back
to the hydraulic tank. The rest of the oil in passage (15) flows through port (13) to the motor bearings
of the two piston motors.

Case drain oil from the piston motors enters the hydraulic block through port (16). The oil flows from
port (16) through passage (2) to port (1). Then, the oil flows from port (1) back to the hydraulic tank.

Case drain oil from the piston pumps of the travel system enters the hydraulic block through port (5).
The oil flows from port (5) through passage (2 ) to port (1). Then, the oil flows from port (1) back to
the hydraulic tank.

Case drain oil from the piston pump for the winch enters the hydraulic block through port (14). The
oil flows from port (14) through passage (21) to passage (2). The oil flows from passage (2) through
port (1) back to the hydraulic tank.
