Speaking Contest- My Beloved Ba Vi. Let me introduce about myself. My name’s ….. I’m ten years old. I’m from Ba Vi District, Ha Noi City. I’m in Class 5C at Vat Lại Primary School. At school, I study many subjects. They are Maths, Vietnamese,English, Art, Music, IT, PE, ,History and Georgraphy. I like English and History very much. During the local History lessons, my teacher taught me much about my hometown. Now, I’m very confident to introduce about Bavi District to you. Ba Vi is a semi-mountainous district of Ha Noi City. It’s about 60 kilometres far from Ha Noi Capital to the Northwest. Ba Vi is devided into 31 villages with 3 ethnic groups: Kinh, Muong, Dao. Each of them has distinct customs and cultural features but they love one another too much. Ba Vi people are kind, friendly and hospitable . They are intelligent, studious, hard-working, creative and very brave . They can make a lot of food such as: sweet potatoes, bamboo shoots, tea... Especialy, They are good at feeding milk cow. Ba Vi fresh milk and Ba Vi yogurt are famous drink in my district. Ba Vi is endowed with a charming painting by nature.There are: mountains, hills, forests, waterfalls, streams, rivers and lakes. It is considered the "green lung" of Hanoi capital because of famous scenic spots such as: Ao Vua, Khoang Xanh - Suoi Tien, Tien Sa Lake, Thien Son - Suoi Nga, Tan Da tourist area, Thac Da, Suoi Hai Lake, Cam Quy Lake, primeval forest named Bang Ta - Long Dam, Ngoc Nhi Stork Hill and Ba Vi National Park. In summer, many tourists come here to enjoy fresh air They climb the mountain, swim, take photos, enjoy the food and relax after hard working days. This is also a good condition for Ba Vi to develop resort tourism.
Ba Vi has 397 historical and cultural relics as: Thuong
Temple - Trung Temple – Ha Temple with the Legend of Son Tinh - Thuy Tinh, Tay Dang communal house; Chu Quyen communal house , Thuy Phieu communal house. Uncle Ho's temple in the top of Ba Vi mountain, K9 historical site (where Uncle Ho worked when he was alive); Uncle Ho's banyan tree and hundreds of other relics. In Spring, at the begining of new year days people are always eager to come here to pray for good health, happiness and luck .Therefore, Ba Vi is always a place to attract domestic and foreign tourists I’m very proud of my hometown-BaVi.
