ASSESSMENT I
Generally, all religious congregations for men and women worldwide are mandated to incorporate
“Justice, Peace, and Integrity of Creation” as the new areopagi into their mission. The CICM, as a missionary
congregation, submits itself to this mandate. It added the fourth and fifth priorities that came out from the actual
participation of the past and present missionaries. These are the protection of the rights and legacies of the
Indigenous Peoples in their mission areas. And in line with the mandate of Nostra Aetate (1964) by Pope John
Paul II, Interreligious dialogue is included. The CICM, as a congregation, spearheads the actual ecumenical
encounters, interfaith dialogues, and interreligious dialogue.
To be one in mind and heart in helping the CICM pursue their advocacies, what values do we need to
nurture so that we can withstand the pressures in promoting JPIC, IRD, and IP?
Enumerate five and justify why these values are needed. (20 points)
