LESSON PLAN IN ENGLISH 8I.

OBJECTIVE

At the end of the 60-minute discussion, the learners are expected to do the following:

1.Analyze literature as a mirror to a shared heritage of people with diverse backgrounds(EN8LT-IIIe-10)

ANALYSIS OF LITERATURE AS MIRROR TO A SHARED HERITAGE OF PEOPLEWITH DIVERSE BACKGROUND.

4.Materials: Chalkboard, Projector/Smart TV (for PowerPoint Presentation), Pictures, White board,


Pieces of paper.

PRE-ACTIVITY

Everyone, kindly arrange your chairs, pick up pieces of papers and plastics then stand for a prayer.

Good morning class!

Class, please be seated.

Monitor, kindly check the attendance then submit later the names of those who are absent.

ACTIVITY

A. Review of the Previous Lesson

B. Background Check

Since this is a new lesson, the teacher will check learner’s prior knowledge on the elements of the story.

(Strategy used by the teacher: Crossword Puzzle/Identification)

Activity: Identify the following elements of the story by completing the puzzle below. Refer to the given
clues.

Across:

1. This is the very beginning of the story. (Exposition)

2. This is the part of the story where the characters finally have to face and solve the major conflict.
(Climax)

3. It refers to a person, an object, an animal, am imaginary creature pernosified in the story. (Character)

4. It refers to the problem that the main character have to face. (Conflit)

5. It us defined as the sequence of events that occurs from from tge first to the last line of the story.

*The teacher will show immediately the results of the short quiz to the learners. Learners are reminded
that the scores are used only to measure the extent of what they know about the topic. This will also
serve as a guide for the teacher on which part of the lesson should he give more emphasis on in order to
achieve the learning objectives.
C. Motivation

Directions: Read the literary work.

Then answer the questions that follow by writing the letter of your answer in a piece of paper.

(The teacher will provide positive praises/feedback to the winners.)

ANALYSIS

Once learners have presented their work, the teacher will present the right answer and will ask probing
questions to the learners on how they are able to come up with their answers.
