The farm household is defined as the beneficiary of farm benefits under these criteria. Mr. Ben
Francia 61 years old household will surely qualify. Located in Sitio Padilla Brgy. Ilayang Bukal, Tayabas
Quezon. Ben Francia is the owner of the farm
Mr. and Mrs. Francia are the owners of a two-hectare farm that specializes in mixed vegetables and
tree fruits. The property is about 45 minutes' drive from the town of Lucban. The farm is committed to
providing customers and community members with fresh grown produce in a safe and efficient manner. Only
one hectare of the two-hectare land is used for crop production, which includes bottle gourd, cucumber,
eggplant, mustard, chili, papaya, and okra. But some of their vegetables are food consumption only. Their
main crop product is bottle gourd and mustard.
Habilin farm is an organic farm, Mr Ben Francia, 37 years old, Bachelor of Science in Financial
Management and Mrs. Francia 33 years old. They are former OFW and the money they save is from their
savings when they are working overseas, the thing they produce in those saving is the Habilin Farm which is
the Land that their buy from their parents.. Known as an organic farmer in their locality uses the organic
farming to be able for their consumptions and maintenance of the farm. Meanwhile, with the assistance and
support of his wife she able to establish some off-farm businesses, particularly a vegetarian food delivery,
they also offer the Vege-Fest & Wellness which allow them to earn additional income.
The major income derived from fruit trees and vegetable farming plus the extra income coming from
their off-farm activities are what exactly they utilize to cover up all of their household expenditures from
food. Their total farm household income truly enables them to clear all of expenditures without any single
peso short.
