    Dear Mr. Morgan:

    The Department of Defense (“DoD”), Office of Information Counsel, is providing a response to


    your March 29, 2021, Freedom of Information Act (“FOIA”) request to DoD. You requested: 1) All

    Kathleen H. Hicks, Deputy Secretary of Defense; Jack Murren, Special Assistant to the Deputy
    Secretary of Defense; Radha Iyengar Plumb, Chief of Staff to the Deputy Secretary of Defense; Lisa
    Sawyer, Special Assistant to the Secretary of Defense; and/or David G. Bassett, Director, Defense
    Contract Management Agency including the following terms: Recuse; Recusal; Raytheon; Nucor;
    Tenet; United Technologies; Austin Strategy Group, LLC; Pine Island Capital; Precinmac Precision
    Machining; InVeris Training Solutions; and/or WestExec Advisors. The time frame for the requested
    records was identified as January 20, 2021, to March 29, 2021.

    Enclosed are 97 pages. Information has been withheld pursuant to FOIA Exemption (b)(5), which
    protects deliberative process privileged information; and FOIA Exemption (b)(6), which applies to
    information, which if released, would constitute a clearly unwarranted invasion of the personal
