12 – STEM Pythagoras
i. Objectives
1. To determine the compound that has been generated
2. To observe the reaction bet the two main material (vinegar and baking soda)
ii. Material
1. Vinegar
2. Baking soda
3. A pot
4. Spoon
5. Stoves
6. Plastic wrap
7. Pyrex glass
iii. Procedure
1. Prepare all the material needed.
2. Grab the large pot and put the baking soda.
3. Pour in the vinegar little by little.
4. Stirred the mixture until all the baking soda dissolved and stopped fizzing.
5. And slowly boiled to remove the extra water
6. Poured the concentrated sodium acetate into a glass pyrex and placed it in the
fridge
7. Then grab a small plate and place a small pile of sodium acetate.
8. Then slowly pour the solution into the plate and it starts to form a crystal-like
structure.
vi. Conclusion
Therefore, I conclude that you can make sodium acetate by using household
items (vinegar and baking soda). And also, creates a carbon dioxide bubbles due to
vinegar and baking soda.
