1 OVERVIEW:

The Cerabar PMC51 digital pressure transmitter with capacitive, oil-free ceramic
measuring cell is typically used in process and hygienic applications for pressure, level, volume
or mass measurement in liquids and gases. It guarantees high degree of system safety thanks to
vacuum-proof ceramic membrane with integrated breakage detection. Quick Setup with
adjustable measuring range allows simple commissioning, reduces costs and saves time. SIL2
according to IEC 61508 / IEC 61511.

2 AREA OF APPLICATION:
The device is used for the following measuring tasks:
- Absolute pressure and gauge pressure measurement in gases, steams or liquids in
all areas of process engineering and process measurement technology
- Level, volume or mass measurement in liquids.
- High process temperature
– without diaphragm seals up to 130 °C (266 °F), for a maximum of 60
minutes150 °C (302 °F)
– With diaphragm seals up to 400 °C (752 °F).
- High pressure up to 400 bar (6000 psi)
- International usage of application with a wide range of approvals
3 FEATURES AND BENEFITS:

- Very good reproducibility and long-term stability.

- High reference accuracy up to ±0.15 %as PLATINUM version: ±0.075 %.
- Turn down up to 100:1.
- Uniform platform for differential pressure, hydrostatics and pressure (Deltabar
M– Deltapilot M – Cerabar M).
- Simple, fast commissioning through a user interface designed for real-world
applications.
- Used for process pressure monitoring up to SIL2, certified to IEC 61508 Edition
2.0and IEC 61511 by TÜV NORD.
- The patented TempC membrane for the diaphragm seal reduces measured errors
caused by environmental and process temperature influences to a minimum.
- ASME-BPE-compliant device versions

4 SWITCHING UNIT :

RMA42 Process transmitter with control unit:

Analog measured values are indicated, evaluated and calculated by the process
transmitter. With the integrated loop power supply two-wire sensors can be powered. The
universal inputs enable the connection of current, voltage, RTDs and TCs. Limit values can
be monitored and relays can be switched. Via analog outputs process signals can be
forwarded. The integrated application package "differential pressure" allows the quick and
easy commissioning for differential pressure applications.

 Based on the pressure switch application, the output must be digital, for that
switching unit will be used with the pressure transmitter.
