Learning ⁕ gathers statistical data. Code:
Competency/ies: ⁕ illustrates the measures of central tendency (mean,
median, and mode) of a statistical data. M7SP-IVb-1
(Taken from the M7SP-IVf-1
Curriculum Guide)
⁕ calculates the measures of central tendency of M7SP-IVf-g-
ungrouped and grouped data. 1
Measures of central tendency are key way to discuss and communicate with graphs. the mean,
median and the mode are known as the measures of central tendency.
Grouped data are data formed by aggregating individual observations of a variable into groups, so
that the frequency distribution of these groups serves as a convenient means of summarizing or
analyzing the data.

4.1 Introductory
Activity
4.2 Activity
The Captain of Barangay Camias wants to know the average population of adults, senior citizens,
and teens in their community. As part of the community you are tasked to collect the data from your
assigned purok to determine the average population of each sector being identified.
NOTE: Barangay Camias has six (6) puurok.

es What is the average population of the specified sectors ( adult, senior citizens, and teens) of your
assigned purok?
(Present your collected data using a frequency distribution table.)
4.3 Analysis
⁕ Divide the class into 6 groups
⁕ Designate or assign a purok to each group.
minut ⁕ Seek approval to the purok leaders or any assigned personnel to have a copy of the official list
10
es of their purok population.
⁕ Compute the average population on each specified sectors.

f 1 = frequency of the class preceding the modal class
f 2 =frequency of the class succeeding the modal class

4.5 Application
After each group collected and computed their data, they would pick one presenter to present their
