    Sir,
    With reference to captioned work, the hydraulic model studies for Lower Seti (Tanahu)
    Hydropower Project is proposed to analyze the silt flushing studies by reproduction of requisite
    length of reservoir in large scale (preferably larger than 1:30) for simulation of the suspended
    sediments in the physical model as per the ToR.
    Accordingly, Quotations were collected from the agencies, however, Hydrolab Pvt. Ltd., has
    conveyed that the model of 1:30 cannot be accommodated currently due to the space and
    discharge limitations of the existing laboratory facility. Whereas other agencies has submitted the
    quotations to carry out the studies in 1:30 scale by associating with reputed Indian govt. agencies.
    In view of above, JV received the quotations to carry out the Physical Hydraulic Model Studies for
    Lower Seti Hydropower Project as per the ToR from the following agencies. The comparative
    chart of the quotations, in NPR excluding VAT (as applicable) is given below.

    In this regard, JV is of the view that as project site is located downstream of Upper Seti due to
    which sediment flushing studies from reservoir of Lower Seti HPP is of major concern, therefore,
    model of 1:30 scale is preferable. Further, it is to submit that additional 5% of the contract value
    shall be levied as handling fee as per the original contract. However, additional resources required
    for regular site visits of JV personnel for monitoring, progress reporting, preparation of additional
    design drawings (as & when required), and any other services may be communicated to us for
    submission of JV’s proposal.
