Lesson planning is a significant element
of teaching-learning system.

A lesson plan is a step-by-step guide

that provides a structure for an essential
learning.
Purpose of a lesson plan:
•structure the lesson
•organize its contents/materials
•determine method of its delivery
•assess students’ learning
•evaluate its application/effectiveness
MAJOR ELEMENTS
• Educational Objectives
• Content and Appropriate Teaching
Activities
• Preparation of all the Material
• Monitoring & Assessing Learning
Advantages of a lesson plan
• a key to the target.
• saves time.
• makes the work regular & organized.
• induces confidence.
• promotes learning.
• improves results.
Lesson Plan the Easy Way
The clearer the structure of a lesson
and the more precise the directions on
what is to be accomplished, the higher
the achievement rate.
Uri ng Banghay-Aralin
•Angdetalyadong banghay-aralin na
mayroong gawain ng mga guro at mag-
aaral,
•Angsemi-detalyado na mayroong
gawain ng guro.
•Ang banghay-aralin na brif kung saan
nakabuod na lamang ang bawat
bahagi.
Mga Modelo ng Pagbabanghay-Aralin:
•Gagne’s Nine Events of Instruction
1. Pagganyak (Gaining attention)
2. Pagpapabatid ng Layunin (Expectancy)
3. Pagbabalik-aral (Retrieval)
4. Paglalahad (selective
perception/presenting the stimulus)
5. Ginabayang Pagsasanay (Scaffolding)
6. Malayang Pagsasanay (Eliciting
Performance)
7. Pagbibigay ng Puna (Providing
Feedback)
8. Pagtataya (Assessing performance)
9. Pagpapayamang Gawain
(Enhancing Retention and Transfer)
Madeline Hunter’s Seven Step Lesson
Plan Model
1. Pagbabalik-aral
2. Pagpapabatid ng nais matutuhan
(anticipatory set)
3. Paglalahad ng Layunin
4. Pagtuturo/Modelling
5. Pagtataya (Checking
Understanding)
6. Ginabayang Pagsasanay (Guided
Practice)
7. Malayang Pagsasanay
(Independent Practice)
The 5 E’s Model
1. ELICIT
1.Engage
2. ENGAGE
2.Explore 3. EXPLORE
3.Explain 4. EXPLAIN
4.Elaborate 5. ELABORATE
5.Evaluate 6. EVALUATE
7. EXTEND
The 4 A’s Model

1.Gawain (Activity)
2.Pagsusuri (Analysis)
3.Paglalahat (Abstraction)
4.Paglalapat (Application)
The Explicit Teaching Model

Step 1: Introduction/Presentation
Step 2: Teaching/Modelling
Step 3: Guided Practice
Step 4: Independent Practice
Step 5: Application
Step 6: Analysis
