IIT-JEE, 2012 Dear Student, We have pleasure in announcing details of the above captioned Contact Programme. 1. Centres, Venues and Dates Please see pages 3.and 4. 2. Timings MUMBAI & NAGPUR 1st Day: 11.00 AM to 1.00 PM (Lunch Break 1.00 PM to 1.45 PM) 1.45 PM to 6.00 PM LUCKNOW & PATNA 1st Day: 10.30 AM to 12.30 PM (Lunch Break 12.30 PM to 1.15 PM) 1.15 PM to 5.30 PM ALL OTHER CENTRES 1st Day: 10.00 AM to 12.00 Noon (Lunch Break 12.00 Noon to 12.45 PM) 12.45 PM to 5.00 PM II DAY ALL CENTRES 2nd Day: 9.00 AM to 1.15 PM (Lunch Break 1.15 PM to 2 PM) 2.00 PM to 4.00 PM

Students are expected to be present at the venue 15 minutes before the start of the programme. 3. Response (For students with email id) Please intimate through email whether you will attend or will not attend this Contact Programme. Response Letter (For students without email id) A printed Response Letter is enclosed. Please indicate in it whether you will attend or will not attend this Contact Programme, write the other details required and return this letter to us immediately on its receipt and after affixing the necessary postage. Please Note: Only those students who notify us in advance of their intention to attend this Contact Programme by completing and returning our enclosed printed Response Letter will be allowed to participate in the Contact Programme. All students are therefore advised, in their own interest, to complete and return the printed Response Letter immediately on receipt, to enable us to make suitable arrangements for their participation in the Contact Programme. Once the student has returned the Response Letter to us he will not receive any further communication from us about the programme. Please complete and return the Response Letter even if you are NOT planning to attend the Contact Programme. 4. The Syllabi to be covered during the Programme subjectwise, are given on Page 5. Students should study the topics proposed to be covered and come prepared with their doubts if any, so that they can derive the maximum advantage from this Contact Programme.

Admission to the Contact Programme Admission will be only on production of the students ADMIT CARD issued by our office with the students photograph affixed and attested by our office, issued at the time of the students enrolment. Students who do not produce the ADMIT CARD will not be permitted to enter the Hall or to participate in the Programme. Please note that this step is being taken in order to safeguard the interests and convenience of our genuine students and to prevent non-students from participating in the Programme. Your cooperation in this matter is solicited. Students who have not received their ADMIT CARD should write to us immediately with a passport size photograph, stating their name, enrolment number and address, for issue of duplicate Admit Card. Students are advised to come prepared with their doubts and difficulties, remembering that there are also other students equally eager to clear their doubts, so that maximum time is made available for discussion with the Professors. 6. Special Note to Parents We have received complaints from several of our Contact Programme Centre Authorities that, on the days on which the Programmes are conducted, several parents/guardians spend the entire day at the Centres. Because of the large number of students who attend our Programmes, the presence of so many people places a great strain on the Centres facilities and disturbs their routine functioning. Some Centres, in fact, have threatened that they would be forced to withdraw their permission to conduct the Programmes there in future unless we are able to do something about this disturbance. In light of the above and given the difficulty of locating good and convenient Centres in which to conduct our Programmes, we are sure that all our parents will appreciate the spirit in which we are constrained to request the following: 1. Parents and guardians should come only to drop off their wards at the entrance to the Centre in the morning and return to pick them up again at the end of the day. Please do not spend the entire day at the venue. 2. Students should strictly desist from writing on the walls, scribbling or otherwise causing any damage whatsoever to the desks, furniture, bathroom fixtures, lifts, etc. 3. Each student should bring sufficient drinking water to meet the days requirement for himself/herself. Water can be conveniently brought in water bottles or sachets. 4. Please do not throw any litter anywhere in the premises except in the containers provided for the purpose. 5. Please make every effort to leave the premises in the same clean condition that it is in at the start of the programme.
