Types of Sin 11. Making behavioural choices that could cause harm to yourself or someone else. 12. Failure to meet legal, social, and moral obligations. 13. Manipulating someone to feel bad or to do things for you, intended to benefit yourself at someone’s expense. 14. Engaging in sexual acts that are not supported by the religion as being morally good or pure. 15. Withholding sexual acts obligated by the religion as being morally good or pure. Dimensions of Sin 16. Spreading unconfirmed rumors to ones group of friends. 17. Failing to give God credit for any good thing. 18. Failure to pray. 19. Making statements or using words, such as name-calling, intended to harm someone. 20. Failure to respect ones self’s virtues and principles. Sexuality 21. Gender is an ascriptive cultural construct. 22. It is definite, relatively fixed, exclusive, depending on sex organs and genes of the individual (Dulay, 2002: 103). SEX 23. Withholding your presence or using silence intended to punish or harm someone. 4. Failing to fulfill a commitment. 5. Failing to meet a person’s need. 6. Failing to do your best to accomplish a task or project. 7. Ignoring someone in the room despite their observed desire to meet other people, e.g. the person is attending a social event. 8. Taking more than you need. 9. Taking something for yourself that belongs to someone else. 10. Telling other people something that undermines someone that one intends to harm. 11. Failing to seek permission or consent to give negative feedback. 12. Failing to give God credit for any good thing. 13. Failure to pray. 14. Judging someone intending to cause them harm rather than to help them. 15. Failing to offer constructive feedback to someone who might benefit.
