1. PURPOSE
This document defines the proposed methodology for Security CCTV Camera, Door Access
Control System & Mantrap System Works for MY06.

2. SCOPE
2.1 The Works
This statement covers the delivery, supply and installation of the proposed Security
CCTV Camera, Door Access Control System & Mantrap System Works at the above-
mentioned locations.
i. To deliver required materials to respective work areas
ii. Commencement of setting out based on approved detailed drawings

2.2 Location of the Works


The specific tenancy areas are as follows:
Bridge Data Centre Malaysia III Sdn Bhd on HS(D) 78142 PTD 32674, Mukim of
Bukit Batu, District of Kulai State of Johor, Malaysia
- Main Data Centre Building (Ground Floor, Level 1, Level 2 & Lower Roof)
- GenSet Building (Ground Floor, Level 1 & Lower Roof)
- Office Building (Ground Floor, Level 1, Level 2 & Lower Roof)

2.3 Planning, Scheduling and Site Preparation


The installation of Security CCTV Camera, Door Access Control System & Mantrap
System works requires a thorough understanding and control of the respective
building space. These include the following:
i. Size and configuration of floor area
ii. Location within building
iii. Location and type of all equipment and services that will be in or on the floor
iv. Means of access to the area, elevator, stairs, street level, loading bay, etc
v. Work schedule of other trades
vi. The client must provide a dry and accessible area to unload and receive
materials with a free path to elevator, stairs, street level, loading bay, etc
vii. Prior commencement to works, a dry and secure storage space must be made
available for materials. It should be in close proximity to the installation area.
viii. The installation area must be closed from the weather.

3. RESPONBILITIES
3.1 Project Manager
 Responsible for making available all the resources for the safe execution of the
work.

3.2 Site Supervisor


 Responsible for ensuring that the job is executed at site as per this method
statement.
 Responsible to ensure that necessary trained manpower and suitable equipment are
allocated for the execution of this job.
 Responsible for ensuring that Job Safety Analysis has been formulated and
necessary permits and authorization for carrying out this job have been
obtained.

3.3 Site Officer


 Responsible for implementing the execution of the job at site in accordance with
this method statement.
 Responsible for ensuring that the Job Safety Analysis corresponding to all the
activities mentioned in this document are being followed at site.
 Responsible to explain the method statement and the Job Safety Analysis to the
workers.
 Responsible for planning the execution of the job.
 Assign employees only to tasks for which they are trained and qualified.
 Monitor workers and work group performance for quality and safe work
practices.
 Correct any deficiencies noted and educate the workers to improve work
methods.
 Report and investigate all non-injury and injury incidents.
 Coach/Mentor/Train the employees in safe work procedures.
 Inform employees of potential health hazards.
 Assure good housekeeping at all times and,
 Enforce Company and project HSE policies and procedures at all times.

3.4 Workers / Installers


 Accepting individual responsibility for their own safe behavior as well as sharing
responsibility with their fellow workers and line supervision to look out for their
own as well as their co-workers.
 Work in a safe manner at all times and contribute to the implementation of
the ‘NOBODY GETS HURT” philosophy.

 Complying with HSE requirements which apply to an individual’s work


activities.
 Keeping the work area in an orderly condition.
 Wear PPE provided to them and inspect it daily.
 Comply with work instructions and permits.
 Attend daily tool box/pre-task meetings.
 Inspect all tools before use.

4. METHODOLOGY
4.1 CCTV Works
Method:
a. To ensure that all related permits are approved from client before start the works.
b. Check the room condition and configuration against the approved detailed
drawings. Any discrepancies shall be immediately notified to the supervisor for
agreement on the corresponding corrective action.
c. To install new metal trunking and GI conduit using of Scissor Lift.
d. To lay new cables for new CCTV camera from Server room to the ELV Risers
located at Ground Floor and Level 1 (FO cable) & ELV Riser to Camera points
(Cat 6 cable) for Main Data Hall Building.
e. Installation of 48 ports and 24 ports switches in the ELV Risers rack at Ground
Floor and Level 1 for Main Data Hall Building.
f. To lay new cables for new CCTV camera from Server room to the ELV Risers
located at Ground Floor (FO cable) & Riser to Camera points (Cat 6 cable) for
GenSet Building.
g. Installation of 48 ports and 24 ports switches in the ELV Risers rack at Ground
Floor and Level 1 for GenSet Building.
h. To lay new cables for new CCTV camera from Server room to the ELV Risers
located at Ground Floor (FO cable) & Riser to Camera points (Cat 6 cable) for
Office Building.
i. Installation of 48 ports and 24 ports switches in the ELV Risers rack at Ground
Floor and Level 1 for Office Building.
j. Installation of CCTV Camera, Switch, workstation and monitor.
k. Installation cable from Server Room at Ground Floor to FCC room.
l. Installation of VMS Server at Ground Floor.
m. Method of Statement: Server room Power Turn-On:
 Ensure Power off at the PDU switch (rack side)
 Connect CEE form from PDU to existing CEE form
 Turn on PDU switch at rack side
 Power ON the equipment (Servers)

 System start-up all equipment and programming of individual CCTV


camera IP to the Primary & Secondary Servers
 Power ON completed
n. Set up FCC workstation integrate to videowall at Ground Floor.
o. Connecting of IP camera network port to POE+ Network Switch from the patch
panel.
p. Power up CCTV Camera and adjust/focus camera lens to the desired field of
view.
q. To interface and programming of VDG Sense system to client
requirements at FCC room.
r. Testing and commissioning in FCC room.
s. User Training and Submit O&M.
t. Inspection and handover to client.
u. 24 months defect liability period.

4.2 Door Access Control System Works


Method:
a. To ensure that all related permits are approved from client before start the works.
b. Check the room condition and configuration against the approved detailed
drawings. Any discrepancies shall be immediately notified to the supervisor for
agreement on the corresponding corrective action.
c. To install new metal trunking and GI conduit.
d. To laying new cables for card access system.
e. To install Installation of Master panel (Pluto) and Switch.
f. Installation of Cat6 Cable from Ground Floor & Level 1 Risers (Pluto Master
Controller) to all Orion controllers at individual door at Main Data Hall Building.
g. Installation of Cat6 Cable from Ground Floor ELV Riser (Pluto Master Controller)
to all Orion controllers at individual door at GenSet Building.
h. Installation of Cat6 Cable from Ground Floor ELV Riser (Pluto Master Controller)
to all Orion controllers at individual door at Office Building.
i. Installation of EM Lock, Junction Box (Orion controller, PSU and backup battery),
Door reader and Emergency break glass.
j. Installation of ACS Server at Ground Floor.
k. Method of Statement: Server room Power Turn-On:
 Ensure Power off at the PDU switch (rack side)
 Connect CEE form from PDU to existing CEE form
 Turn on PDU switch at rack side
 Power ON the equipment (Servers)

Keyprocessor Server
 Power ON completed
l. Power up Door Monitoring System.
m. Software setting, access schedule and access profile as per requirements in FCC
room.
n. Configuration of the access cards for user in FCC room.
o. Testing and commissioning of door monitoring system in FCC room.
p. Combine test with Building Fire alarm system.
q. User training and O&N.
r. Inspection and handover to client.
s. 24 months defect liability.

4.3 Mantrap System Works


Method:
a. To ensure that all related permits are approved from client before start the works.
b. Check the room condition and configuration against the approved detailed
drawings. Any discrepancies shall be immediately notified to the supervisor for
agreement on the corresponding corrective action.
c. Ensure sufficient space for Forklift to transfer the Mantrap into the Main Data Hall
Building Reception Entrance.
d. To install new GI conduit to the Mantrap System.
e. To laying new cables for card access system for the Mantrap System.
f. To install Installation of Master panel (Pluto) and Switch.
g. Installation of Cat6 Cable from Ground Floor & Level 1 Risers (Pluto Master
Controller) to the Orion controller at the Mantrap system of Main Data Hall
Building.
h. Use of forklift to deploy the 2 x Mantrap at the Reception area of Main Data Hall
Building.
i. Secure the Mantrap onto the ground
j. Installation of Junction Box (Orion controller, PSU and backup battery) and Door
reader.
k. Programming of Mantrap system and integrate with the Access Control
System.
l. Testing and commissioning of the Mantrap system.
m. Combine test with Building Fire alarm system.
n. User training and O&N.
o. Inspection and handover to client.
p. 24 months defect liability.

5. Health & Safety Risks and Controls


5.1. Please see attached copies of our Risk Assessment wherein Health & Safety Risks
and Controls are described in detail.
5.2. Please note that Risk Assessment will be reviewed upon the occurrence of any
incident and a follow-up brief and modification of Risk Assessment will be carried
out accordingly, so as to minimize the likelihood of such an incident occurring again.

6. Access/ Egress
6.1. All deliveries to the site will be in accordance with base building systems and
delivery routes as advised to us by the client.
6.2. Delivered materials may be transported from the loading bay area to the tenancy
work area by means of wheeled carts/trolleys.
6.3. Access of workers to the site will require wearing and display the pass at all times.
6.4. Delivery, access and egress routes may be updated and revised routinely as the site
works reach different stages of completion and new routes become accessible.
6.5. Any designated emergency escape routes for all parties within and around the
tenancy space will be kept clear at all times. This includes keeping the installation
area neat and tidy.
6.6. Egress of vehicles from the site will be via designated delivery routes.

7. Emergency
7.1 Emergency Procedures
a. When on site, on a building or structure the operative will be governed by the rules
for emergency procedures laid down by the Client / Buildings Management.
b. In the case of an emergency within the working team, only the working team
(unless otherwise requested by a member of the team shall undertake any form of
rescue)

c. Once the casualty is at ground level, and after being briefly examined and any
emergency procedures having been carried out (all members of each team will
have been trained in first aid) and further action i.e. Ambulance, hospitalization,
will be then decided.
d. All accidents/injuries will be reported following the procedures laid down in the
Company Health and Safety guidelines and adhering to all current Legislation.
