INTRODUCTION
Involving kids with chores is a great way to teach

responsibility around the house.
Our lives as parents are increasingly busy these days

and sometimes its hard to find time to accomplish
everything around the house. One way to balance
work and play is to combine them and involve the
whole family in doing household chores.
When children contribute to family house chores, it

helps them feel competent and responsible. Even if
they don’t enjoy the chore, when they keep going
they get the feeling of satisfaction that comes with
finishing a task.

And sharing housework can also help families work

better and reduce family stress. When children help
out, chores get done sooner, and parents have less
to do. This frees up time for the family to do fun
things together.
You may have heard the Chinese proverb –

“Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may

important life skills that will serve them well
throughout their lives.
These life skills are important as children grow for

them to feel confident or when they go out of their

HOW TO MAKE YOUR KIDS PART OF THE

CLEANING SOLUTION.
It can be a real challenge to keep your home clean,

neat and orderly when you have young children, but
you won't be experiencing such provided you make
your little one's part of the solution and not the
problem.
● Let your kids see you clean. Sometimes, we do

all of our cleaning when the kids are otherwise
occupied. They often don’t realize how much

children get certain amount of points/stickers –

Once a child understands how to clean and why it

matters, parents might want to start making their
allowance dependent on whether they’ve completed
their chores.

Let your toddler help around the house. Most very

young growing children love to help out around the
house and often enjoy mimicking the cleaning of
adults. While you won't be able to give them big task
to carry out, you can have them help by picking toys
up and pulling them away.
Engage them with role play.
Many small child enjoy role play. So kit them out as

Having many container for storing things in can be
attractive. So try to buy some or (make them if you

they will easily be able to see that their toys needed
to go in it.
Storage is a great way of helping to keep your home

tidy and your little ones will quickly begin to realize
that anything left out after a play session, needs to
be stored away.

Always remember that water attracts more dirt

and dust than expected. Even if you spill a little
bit of water in the floor or accidentally drop an

1.Not sweeping the floor.
Before you mop the tile, you should sweep the floor
beforehand. If you skip this process, then dirt will be

2.Using dirty mop
The mop used for cleaning tile should be clean. .Also

and grimy. Grout cleaning becomes difficult when it
happens. Therefore, use only the required quantity
of water while performing cleaning of tile and grout.

However, keeping a clean home is important and

once you create a cleaning schedule, you can easily
stick to, you will find it less of a chore.
1.Figure out exactly what needs to be done and

how:
Go around your home and for every room, write

down every single thing or surface that you would

you can go through the list and put them in order of
importance so that any less important task can be
carried out on a monthly basis.

3.Be realistic about the amount of time you
